  1. Never had zermatts mate so i couldnt comment
  2. Got mines in march(original post) didnt really start wearing them daily till August and there holding up very well. Warm, comfy and opposed too what some say ive no problems with em on spikes(treehogs). Would recommend them as i think meindls have lost it,last pair(airstreams) lasted under a year, really cold in winter and no good for pruning in icy/slippery conditions.
  3. Have too agree and say id rather work off a high anchor in coni hedges than fanny around with waist anchors. The only time ive fell out anything was a conifer hedge, lanyard caught me but i dropped the hedgecutters about 12 feet. Id say he probably climbs more, so is quicker and more ergonomic using a high anchor point than conatantly having to move a mewp around.
  4. Ive tried srt for a while with a zz which has a built in swivel at the bottom biner attachment, which doesnt create rope hockling. Dunno if a swivel on your bridge would differ though
  5. No but he has issues spelling... Hen Spoderjack...
  6. I like stihl hiflex cause the mediums fit me perfect although i only get a year out of em.X fits are a decent climbing trousers but not great for ground work as they dont hold up well too brambles and thorns. Pfanner gladiators are the best trousers ive had for climbing and all other arb work, although they re very expensive. Arbortecs are utterly shite and i hate them so id recommend not to touch them even though im positive some others will rave about them. Be careful of sizing Im a medium in xfits and hiflex, a small in pfanner gladiators yet im an extra small in pfanner stretch airs, in breathflex im inbetween small and medium... My advice is go to an arb shop and try before you buy
  7. Leaving the gym and going straight to the chip shop is one that baffles me... and of course the obligitory can of diet juice to wash down the fish and chips
  8. There's a "thing"on youtube called people of wallmart-basically fat american folks dressed in bizzare clothing. Ive started to notice this in our own supermarkets-people of asda!
  9. Or 20 years ahead of the continent as we seem to be following in the footsteps of the americans....
  10. I dont think thats the case matty, not by my observations of modern society. Most overweight people are overweight by there own making, poor diet, lack of exersize, sedintary life style. How much of a strain are people putting on the NHS by being overweight which as we all know brings a host of health issues. Im not so sure of the op's opinions and views though...
  11. Doesnt matter mate, the meer site of it will make men jelous and women moist... Hold on im kinda moist lookin at it...
  12. I like a bit of meat on my women, not fat but,you know,a bit of cushion for the pushin. Never really been into the whole thin/skinny women thing.I do like a fit girl,l find an athletic body is aestheticlly pleasing.
  13. 11.5mm tachyon runs well in zz as does hendra and blue tongue.Anything under 12mm will run and self tend
  14. Forgot too say, sometimes you'll have too travel to where the work is,london seems to be a hotbed of potential employment just now. Working away monday to friday and going home at weekends may be the way forward if your to find a good employer who will invest in you as a future team leader/climber.
  15. Maybe look at the options as an apprentice, although id imagine the financial remuneration package would be pitiful. You could apply for second climber positions, mostly ground work but you will climb now and again. Just be honest with your potential employer but stress how keen and hardworking you are. Most will take a punt on you for at least a couple of shifts to see if your up to the job. If yoy do get a couple of shifts with someone be on the ball, when you pull up to the job,put the cones and signs out,get all the saws/blower topped up with fuel-dont stand still keep busy and ffs DONT fanny around on your phone. Good luck mate
  16. Love my zz, ran it for a long time on 11.5mm tachyon with a pulley saver, really smooth setup. Ive gone back to 13mm yale xtc now cause my grips not what it used to be so the thicker rope definetly helps. Like wes says climbing setup is a personal choice of the individual and everyone has preferences
  17. Art positioner for your lanyard would make that a sweet setup. Im on the zigzag but one of the lads climbs on the sj3 and loves it.
  18. Sounds more like team leader that just "tree surgeon" to me..hence the wage
  19. Most jobs now i run my 150 then onto the 346xp on a 15" or 441 on a 20"if its bigger sections.Point is my 150 gets used as often as i can.
  20. Same old story on here mate.. We couldnt agree on the colour of shite
  21. Ive used a stock 200t in the past, great saw on a 12" bar..a ported one would be a dream
  22. We have a couple of 201 tc's at work, the politest way i can think of too say this is i wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
  23. Reduction cuts are great but it rains man glitter...not so great
