  1. I found out yesterday one of the blokes i served with took his own life awhile back. We all try too meet up every now and again and thought remembrance day(well the day before) would be good this year. Paul was the nicest bloke, everyone liked him even the RSM who was the worst kind of human being. Still a bit numb He split from his wife, probably ptsd and went unto a downward spiral, alcohol dependant and homeless at the end. What really pisses me off is the whole remember those who are dead wear a poppy.. What about those who are alive and struggling? Why isnt more being done to help them? What about those who are still serving in active operations overseas, why are those troops depending on families sending them boots, scarfs, gloves and 101 other items to survive in theatre when our shitty government does bugger all to help em I sorry for the rant but this time of year and yesterdays debacle has really got me angry.
  2. 241 is a great little saw with plenty of grunt on a 14" bar. Id recommend it no worries Doesnt miss a beat in my experience
  3. Before i got married i flat shared with a friend who had a decent sized aquarium, great to watch at night kinda mesmerising to see the neon tetras moving around. He made the mistake of putting a silver shark into the mix which decimated his collection Its sommit ive concidered throughout my adult life but the wife "doesnt do" fish tanks
  4. What fish have you got matelot?
  5. 346xp are great saws, ive got one and im lookin for another as im so impressed by it...crackin 50cc saw. Ty arent you in France mate? New 346xp's are still available to buy in France
  6. I had a pair orange/black a while back and gave em away cause the stiff pad at the back and the "miles apart" belt loops at the front caused me no end of irritation-however i saw the updated ones advertised and ordered a pair in medium /black. The belt loop thing has been fixed..hoorah! also ive cut off the stiff back support thingy, quite like em now although i seem to be between sizes, medium slightly too big and small are like skinny jeans on me. Wore em 3 or 4 times now and cant grumble,on a par with my x fits which are now pretty gubbed.
  7. If you die can i have your harness?
  8. Chris Evans...utter [email protected] top gear for me. I dont mind Gary Lineker on match of the day but the walkers adverts are annoying
  9. How many gins you downed joe..
  10. Ive said it before, ill say it again- you dont need bigger guidebar to fell big trees. Ive took down fairly large trees-twice my guidebar length with a 18" on a 441.
  11. Stock 346xp flies on a 15". As stubby says max 18" even on a ported saw
  12. There was a thread on the courant harness over a bridge failure, here's the link mark https://arbtalk.co.uk/forums/topic/105206-courant-harness-bridge-fail/
  13. Heard Ian Dury the other day Hit me with your rhythm stick Ever since its became our go to song in the van...of course the words have been slightly adapted to suit our childish sense of humour.. Hit me wif your rubber dick Hit me hit me
  14. Tree austria could be another contender.. https://www.honeybros.com/Item/Tree_Austria_3-2_Harness
  15. I tried the stein vaga on a couple of weeks ago, didnt climb in it just hung off a low branch and rolled from side to side in it. Quite minimalist in design and felt comfy enough although i couldnt recommend it mark as i havent used one in anger... I ll watch this thread with interest as im piss sick of pulling up my tm all the time
  16. Id 2nd the 461 but a 25" bar seems a bit overkill too me.
  17. You cant argue with with matelot when it comes to immigration... He truly believes immigrants are the root cause of all our countrys ill's and no amount of counter arguements, facts and figures will change his mind. I gave up argueing on this subject with him long ago as should we all.
  18. You cant really go wrong with limes, they will always epi up nomatter where you cut em. As steve said get up and prune where you think you should with one eye on the groundie to maintain a decent shape.
  19. Stihl ms241 would be ideal for learners and small felling courses.
  20. Thats classified information.. I could tell you but id have to kill you
