  1. Your arms are lookin mighty chunky silky, the training clearly agrees with you and your physique is the proof. I used to like a pint or 5 but i do t drink that much now, still get bladdered at xmas/new year, nights out but takes me about 3 days to get over the hangovers. I still like a malt of an evening if im in the mood. You need to find a balance between work and play but if your a better person off the sauce then thats the way to go id say.
  2. Squats really are the king of leg exersises, coupled with deadlifts and your legs will grow like never before. I dont like the quad extension machine silky,it puts excessive stress on the knees, maybe its just the machine at my gym but i really dont like doing anything heavy on the leg extensions-paranoid about my knees giving out. I will say though for medium to light weight and getting a "burn" in the quadriceps-the leg extension is king!
  3. So its the womens fault if she gets unwanted attention because of the way she looks, dresses or the industry she works in??? Your heads up your ass boyo! As for the example you shared well thats entirley different as you were in a relationship with that person. In alot of ways i feel sorry for you if this is genuinly your opinion.... If a guy slaps a womans ass and its unwanted attention then its wrong, its that simple. It goes both ways aswell though, females cant paw male strippers just because an oiled up hunk is helicoptering his man bits around!
  4. Hmmmm... no! I dont know what nightclubs you frequent that you see all these girls getting pawed and loving it, but allowing sexual harrassment and saying its just human sexuality is an opinion that belongs to Alf Garnett and has no place in modern society
  5. So if you dress a female in sexually provocative clothes its expected that men will paw them... Pretty dangerous territory your gettin into matelot..
  6. Not worthy of a story on the national news tbf
  7. Would you feel the same way if one of those arsed touched was your daughters or wifes.... Pretty fckn simple rules apply here No one has the right to put there hands on another person, whether its a joke or innocent intentions. Maybe its a generation thing but i just wouldnt slap a random girls ass In scotland that could get you glassed
  8. The event was raising money for childrens charity which just makes it worse imo. Whether its the presidents club or a night down the bingo is neither here nor there, putting your hands on another person whether its sexual or not is just not on. If someone touched my wife, daughter or sister inappropriatley id do time for smashing the c@nts face too a pulp. Id agree with you on the story makin the national news... Must be a quiet day news wise... Perhaps trumps out golfing again..
  9. Well my 346xp goes to spud tomorrow for porting and a general upgrade. Im very excited to get my baby back and take her for a wee spin..
  10. Never tried the foam roller silky. Do you feel they help at all? Seen some people at the gym doing strange things with em obviously not knowing what they are..
  11. When did you first use the harness? The harness should come with manufacturer recomndations as too when it should be retired, usually 5 years for harnesses if i remember rightly. You could take it to a loler inspector to see if its still fit for purpose although id say most loler guys would fail it due to its age. Remember some of the pieces on the harness will degrade with time irrelevant of how much it is used or where its stored. Is it really worth the risk using it? If it were me id bin it and buy new.
  12. Mark im not sure taking branch chain amino acids would help with the energy levels but would definetly help in the gym. Look at bcca's that have leucine, valine and isoleucine in a 2:1:1 ratio. These are the only amino acids that metabolised in the muscle, all the others are metabolised in the liver. These key aminos help to repair damaged muscle tissue and speed the recovery process. Theyre cheap and easy to buy online in bulk. I recommend taking them before a workout and during to help the body undertake the repair process quicker. Amounts taken will differ according to your weight. I found taking whey protein alot had many side affects that i hadnt even noticed, bloating, wind, lethargy, upset stomach, spiking my insulin, costing a fortune etc. Id say give it a break or even just stop taking it except straight after training just to see if it helps. You might wanna take a look at how much caffeine your consuming aswell as long term high caffeine intake can really have a detrimental effect on your adrenal glands which can present itself in lethargy. If you've been busy at work plus traini g hard you might wanna take some time off just too recharge the batteries mate. Let us know how you get on mate
  13. I cant use whey protein anymore as ive grown an intolerance too it now. I use pea protein mixed with powdered egg whites which my delicate little stomach can handle. Ive been thinking of using L-citrulline as ive researched it a bit and it reads well. Some info below if u fancy a read.. https://examine.com/supplements/citrulline/ Sounds like you have a plan big j,well structured and goal orientated-thats a great way to push yourself and see results mate
  14. Really enjoying this thread, didnt realise i was one of the few who train after work. Most of the guys i know and my crew see the job as enough excersize and do little to nothing else. Anyone using any kind of supplements for training in the gym or nutritional supplements? I take omega 3,6,9 oils daily a probiotic to help digest the protein, usually eggs, fish and some lean turkey. And a strong natural multi vitamin after training. During a workout i take amino acids as its the only one ive found to work really. Ive probably tried most weight training supplements but found most of em utterly crap and of no benefit at all...
  15. Be careful how long your training for silky. The body starts to produce cortisol after around 45 minutes to an hour of intence training. The bigger the body parts the more cortisol will be produced. On an arm and shoulder workout you can get off with an extended workout as those are relativley small muscles and generally respond to high volume but legs and back are the big two muscle groups. Everything we try to do in the gym ie the "training effect" build up our muscles make em stronger and more robust will be hijacked by that nasty little chemical cortisol.Training produces certain hormones in the body that switch us into an annabolic state, cortisol has the opposite effect, shutting down hormone production and putting the body into a catabolic state. I too can easily spend 2 hours or more in the gym but after a while i found i was going backwards and realised more isnt always best.Try instead to make your training an hour at most but up the intensity. Heres a link to some info on cortisol https://www.muscleandstrength.com/articles/losing-muscle-cortisol.html
  16. U beat me too it will ha ha
  17. Just listen to the instructor, ask questions if your unsure, watch, learn and enjoy it.Dont rush your cuts, dont walk under a hung up tree, have your visor down when using the saw(amazing how many guys dont do that) Its not a difficult course,i always find the health and safety stuff monotinous as you get the same gumf on every course. Good luck bud
  18. Double figure of 8 with a big bite so the knot doesnt interfere with the zigzag. I ran that setup for ages when i had to cut of the spliced eye off my tachyon due to a silky incident...(thats a silky saw not silky fox who is by all accounts a thoroughly smashin big fella)
  19. Yes it is wes... Embrace your ginger genes.. I came to terms with being one of the frecklie folk many sunburns ago... Take pride in your inner ging mate
  20. I second mattys 241 recomendation. Fantastic little saw loads of grunt and pretty light weight. Winner!
  21. This blatant targeting of gingers is concerning to say the least.I think you may have some deep seated psycological issues in your contempt for the frecklie folk-axe wielding or otherwise. May i suggest your grow your gingery beard and walk amoungst us for a sustained period to experience first hand how we are routinely subjected to ridicule and bigotry by people such as yourself. Contrary to popular belief we take pride in our natural pale pigmintation and celebrate our frecklage by dancing and frolicking on a friday, raising our glasses of iron bru to the ginger god who bestowed us with his fire in his own likeness. Rejoice in your ginger genes... Rejoice for you are one of us.. Rejoice...
  22. If memory serves you need to perform a hand held cut,a sink cut and a step cut free fall on a lateral. A sink cut (fell) and a step cut on a pole. Assesors are usually pretty aware that you've been climbing alot on the course so will make it pretty easy for your assesment. Im sure you'll pass if you take it slowly and dont rush your cuts. Good luck mate
