  1. Oh my days. That has been a battle with Internet and photo hosting. I really hope this works this time. Apologies http://s1168.photobucket.com/user/Stotally/library/tools
  2. And now I'm reloading the whole album as it appeared not to work the first time. Out in the village Sky is the worst broadband I've ever had :-( Try again in a few minutes
  3. I've taken pictures of what is available. Some of it appears to need a bit of a clean up and there's a couple of bits that I've decided to keep for now. A couple of people have PM'd me asking for a couple of bits so I can't let one person have it all. Photobucket album should be here Woodworking by Stotally | Photobucket Be patient whilst its still uploading. Charitable donations to Steve's raffle fund would be cool :-)
  4. Scroll down a bit Once you get past the first 4 bars or so its all .325
  5. I'll get some photos sorted out tomorrow, it's a bit late now. As to whereabouts - I'm a couple of miles away from Cribbs Causeway on junction 17 of the M5, heading towards Wales.
  6. My grandad was a joiner for most of his life. After he died I got two chests of his tools, some of it we used to use together when I was little. I'm not a woodworker really so all the stuff he left me is gathering dust and becoming less and less viable every day. I want to keep the chest, which I'll use as a coffee table to remind me of him. Family members will get one small something too. What I want to know is if any of you woodworkers out there could make use of the stuff, keep it doing what it should be doing. If it doesn't all get taken then I'll get in touch with the Black Country museum as that's where he lived for most of his life, the rest will possibly go to a charity sending tools to countries that need them. Please bear in mind I don't know all the names or what everything does but here's a rough idea. There are lots of planes of all sizes and shapes, block planes, snub planes, hags tooth? rabbet, bullnose, stanley 50, a plane for making skirting board type stuff, adjustable curve plane etc Chisels - loads of these mostly proper wood chisels, some that look like gouges or turning tools Brace and bits whet stones measures / squares etc I don't want anything for them, just to see them get used. If necessary I can get some pictures of bits, or come round and have a look. If you know of anyone interested then let them know too.
  7. Try Sugihara Guide Bars its Rob's website (Im fairly sure it is)
  8. Will be collecting the truck this saturday so I'm sorting insurance etc. One of the questions is 'do you carry hazardous goods' to which I answered no - and have since thought that does the saws and jerry can full of fuel count? Is there a limit before it becomes hazardous and does it make that much difference?
  9. I agree, to a point. below the neck then fine. I still think facial tattoos or those that come high up the neck don't do anyone any favours.
  10. Today's job will be getting my head around what I need to do to set myself up as a business. Joy.
  11. Looks like its narrowing down to the choice between a 10 plate XL in white, 102k miles, FSH, 1 owner or a 57 plate Thunder in black with 108k, FSH, 6 owners What should I look for in both models? is either a stronger contender?
  12. When I did my climbing course I had almost enough stuff for two and lots of shiny toys. I like to be prepared and had been shopping around eBay and the online places. I've found out some of the stuff I like and what I didn't I've sold on and changed it for other kit. I might have to go to the APF for a look round
  13. Look on ebay. Try stuff on. Don't just buy stuff because its cheap - it may be cheap for a reason. As said above, don't just buy what everyone else has - they may love it, you may not. What do you want to do? Be employed? If you can get a job as an employee then kit is irrelevant as they supply PPE. If you're doing courses, make sure you go somewhere that can provide / hire kit and that way you get to try lots of stuff out. You find kits listed on ebay and facebook groups where people bought kit and then got bored, changed their minds, got kit supplied etc. turning up for courses with all the kit does make you look like a bit of an all the gear no idea type (I know from experience) but it also means you get to learn on your own stuff from the word go.
  14. I miss proper fresh pease pudding on a ham stottie
  15. You need more than water silky. Get some kind of salts in or you can cause all sorts of issues. Drinking just water and not looking after salts can cause hyponatremia which can be fatal.
  16. Collected. Phew
  17. I reckon that I might just be ok today actually. It's boxed and ready - and there should be someone in all day. There may be a short time I'm out
  18. I've pm'd you
  19. Really? From the shipping addresses. I may not be in
  20. Is Dorset too far? There's Roland Heming. Got cs41 on 22nd August or is that too late? £430 including accommodation so it's good value too
  21. What about L200 - it seems they're a bit cheaper than Rangers and the like. I doubt very much it will be towing for a while yet (nothing massive anyway). Will be more used getting me and saws etc to sites and some firewood collecting. I've got up to about 6-7k now. Does mileage really matter? Newer with more miles or older with less miles?
  22. Does common sense not come it? Or has the HSE outlawed it?
  23. The way I read that is that you can do 4 optional units from that whole selection You could do 3 from table one and 1 from table two, or 2 from each table, or 1 from table one and 3 from table two. Gives you more flexibilty
  24. Still waiting on mine
  25. I've read / seen stuff where it was suggested that you only need a background check at a licensed gun store, not at gun fairs and other. In one of the Michael Moore films he gets a rifle for opening a bank account - I got a porcelain pig.
