  1. You have to load it onto YouTube first, then onto here. Less difficult than it sounds.
  2. Nice stuff, it’s where the crown breaks on those old oaks and grain is all over the place that ringing up gets a bit arduous.
  3. I literally cannot remember the last time I had to replace a pull cord, they used to snap through constant yanking of reluctant starters all the time.
  4. Transit man myself, but nothing against cabstars. In the end all of these 3.5 tonne tippers carry the same (legally) you could go out and drop tens of thousands on an Iveco Flashbangwallop TDI and still not carry anymore chip than a 20 year old transit. Meaning you won’t be any more productive with one than the other. Of course there is the whole issue of looking tidy, professional and profitable, but that’s a different matter. By the time the chip van is on the job you’ve already secured the work in your quoting vehicle.
  5. It’s a good thread, just been through the whole thing. Personally I have to think about things in terms of days/half days because my client base is spread across a larger area than when I was in the Uk. I have invested in bigger gear and whacked my prices up since 2013. Not because of Tom, but I got bored with not being in debt and running older gear!
  6. As the Stott Brothers might say, “using my mind”

  8. You having a giraffe? They split up 10 years ago!
  9. That’s not how google works RH. Otherwise I’d be tapping in.. ”Show me the Cheeky Girls having a nude water fight with a guy who looks like me”
  10. That was the Dutch guy that worked for me. You know what gets said about the Dutch. Wooden shoes. Wooden head. Wouldn’t fucking listen. He was ok though, smart guy, he felt the need to remind me of that a bit too often though.
  11. Found a picture of it, as soon as we finished it I sold it (at a considerable loss) Get yourself a small tractor loader you can put on a trailer, much better.
  12. 9.5 hp means it’s slow, which is why they speeded up the video. I bought a kit and welded up something similar yonks ago, it’s ok but you’ll always be disappointed and wished you spent more.
  13. You just came back from an indoctrination camp though! I am mostly husky these days apart from 3x201s I will get that 500 Stihl electronic jobby when I see them on the shelves though.
  14. Modern saws are so much better than 25 years ago, more reliable, better starting, better cutting right through the rev range.
  15. Good one. I remember the Stihl/Husky ‘debates’ on here with hilarity. One member was so upset about something he was going to sell all his Stihls (or Huskys I can’t remember which) as a protest at some issue or other. That’ll learn ‘em!

    Whats this wood?

Elder bark runs in lines, this is platelets. (yes I’m bored)

    Whats this wood?

Fine, make sure it’s stored in the dry, then it’s top firewood.
  18. Trying to think of a pun involving kittiwake, proving a bit aukward though.
  19. Or ethanol if there’s a garage nearby. I had LPG on a Jeep, pain in the arse.
