  1. A. Leylandii are great trees for nesting birds, safer from corvids. B. If people enjoy it stuff the arb nazis (Sycamore are non native) C. It’s not a lot of work, it’s a piece of piss.
  2. The older you get the harder it is to learn a new language. It is great that she’ll be able to understand Pobyl y com on the tv and understand the road signs, but it’s a dead language kept alive to the detriment of the youth.
  3. Imagine if she was fluent in Portuguese or Italian, bit more useful than Welsh or Irish.
  4. That private schools can afford better coaches and better facilities is a big factor, but there are others.
  5. Agree J, I’ve had discussions with Irish relatives about just this. Teach the kids German, Spanish, French, Russian etc. If you want the next generation to thrive and trade with the world.

  10. It’s not going to happen. They won’t backtrack on green issues. Air quality is a big issue in large urban areas. They won’t abandon lucrative revenue streams. Its not going to happen. Forget about it.

  19. It’s a joke ffs. I hardly ever climb for other people these days, but some say ‘just put it on the ground, we’ll deal with it from there’ to keep the cost down. For others I’ll take all my gear and we will help their guy clear up. All depends, as they say.
