The economy thing is just speculation/prediction. Deaths are real statistics. “The exception to the rule” just words, meaning nothing.

I guess, without taking sides, the elephant in the room for me is Germany. Similar populations and demographics but much, much lower death toll. I have yet to hear a satisfactory explanation for that.

I think the flowers have 5 petals which could point to a crab apple. But tbh, these crappy street trees, recommended by the tree officer’s lecturer 10 years earlier are much of a muchness.
