  1. Too true, I had some just like them 5 years ago, unbelievably (not really) I ran one of them over with the loader, and couldn’t bear to fork out again immediately. So I went back to my old aluminum ones. The lad that is learning to climb is borrowing my stuff. I got fed up of looking at him wearing a raggedy old Weaver and spikes with stapled together straps and realizing they’re mine!
  2. Still struggling to work it out! Training day tomorrow so should get it dialed in. I’ll let you know.
  3. New stuff arrived! Koala Courant, Distel spikes, rope n cambium saver. Life in the old dog yet!
  4. Mike lives in Scotland Steve. Bellac is not too far from me but I’m not interested @5thelement is closer and this might be his bag.
  5. I had a 550 rebuilt for less than half the cost of a new one. Lasted less than a month before going again, so I went and bought a new one. Now I know that people will say that it was done badly or whatever, and they’re right. But if you can afford a new one, get one is my advice.
  6. Their record of listening to public opinion isn’t very good. I read that the population is watching the World Cup (if they are able) and are astonished to see stadia full of unmasked people from around the world.
  7. “Family run business” Expect the door to be shut in your face anytime any decisions are made, unless you marry the ugly daughter.
  8. You reckon? Doesn't mycorrhizal fungus occur round the roots? What makes you think it lives in the rotting wood? Happy to be corrected btw.
  9. I read that the Chinese vaccines are less effective than the western produced ones. True or not I don’t know.
  10. Well, not according to my googling it won’t (kill the engine) however the software of the car will put it into limp mode or stop it completely. From what I read it really seems like a very effective way of cutting harmful emissions that fill our air. I mean, sure you can bypass them, but do you really want to?
  11. Between the engine and Cat according to google.
  12. You’re mates aren’t your mates, they’re jealous and don’t want what’s best for you. I will remind you of two quotes. ‘Its not enough that I succeed, my friends must fail to make me happy’ (Gore Vidal) ’when you’re in love with a beautiful woman, you watch your friends’ (Dr Hook) Hope this helps. Deidre.
  13. No, not at all. The other 3 are for roller bushes/bearings that operate at low speed, so high temp grease is fine.
  14. You have 5 grease points on a Forst, 2 of them are for the flywheel bearings which require higher temperature grease. It’s usually written on the cartridge what it’s used for. More importantly make sure the grease lines aren’t split so the grease reaches its destination. I put the grease nipples directly into the bearings so I knew it was getting there.
  15. Sadly I feel her unreasonable behaviour will drive you into the arms of a younger woman which will make you feel ‘alive’ something that’s been missing from your life trapped with that joyless husk. Furthermore you should keep the house and she should pay all the bills including your new partners vajazzle while she moves into a rented flat. Hope this helps… Deidre.
  16. I know these letters are in all probability fake, but the advice handed out annoyed me.
  17. Was upstairs just now, performing my ablutions, found an old YOU magazine with this letter, I felt that I could have given some better advice. Your letter just reeks of me, me, me. Your mug of a husband is flogging his guts out to provide for you and the kids, gets home and he fancies a couple of beers and some telly, so what? Last thing he needs is to go back out and spend time with your friends and other peoples kids, if he’s happy for you to do it that’s great isn’t it? So now you’re planning to stripe the poor bastard of half of everything so you can fulfill your dreams of being a ‘free spirit’ (at his expense) just cos you’re not getting enough attention? Grow up, count your blessings and maybe get a vibrator. Grass isn’t always greener.
  18. 35hp Rayco grinder, Briggs and Stratton engine. I have already spent a grand getting a subby grinder in. Only 1 job on the books that needs grinding, so maybe I will send it back. Terrible head cold atm so wasn’t going to do it today anyway.
  19. I suppose it depends if we’re here all day or not. Approx 1 barrow a day on average whatever that is.
  20. Upgrade kit worked well on the first 201t. Developed by Brad Snelling as I understand it. Pretty soon Stihl adopted it and after that they were fine.
  21. You wait a month for the part and then this!
