I would have thought a business like that, it’ll show in the end of year accounts. 8k doesn’t just fall between the cracks. Morally I suppose it’s similar to you forgetting to invoice a client, would you expect them to tell you? -

How heavy is a grain sack of logs? I’ve run a 750 with a flail, wouldn’t really want anything smaller for that job. If the dealer is close to you, and he has a good rep, go for it. Multione is a very similar machine (I’ve had 3 of them)
