  1. I actually agree with Svistolodovoslov. Strange post. Buy huskys except for the topper.
  2. For me the OP is filtering the information in too restrictive a fashion. Too little info to comment. (in Sideshow Bob fashion, I am aware of the irony)
  3. I figure we’d passed from an individual case scenario to a general overview of tree work/ neighbour dispute hypotheticals. But fair enough.
  4. I learnt years ago to keep an open mind. It could be that your client is the asshole. You only hear their side of the story. Stay professional, stay neutral.
  5. How do you think the roboflail is working out @Stephen Blair? Does it have a future as a commercial string to your bow? Could you see it becoming a mainstay of your business?
  6. Agreed, they hate their neighbours, not you. Often a simple friendly request will be enough.
  7. Had the luxury of a proficient climber on the job today. Meant I could stay on the deck, run the ropes, drive the loader and help the groundy. Crazy leaning poplar over old bridge, road, power lines. to remove. Got bigger all day if you know what I mean.
  8. This is a good point.
  9. I had one, which I almost never used so sold it to another member on here. @ Unlike a saw you can’t drop start it, so if you don’t follow the procedure outlined in the manual and it doesn’t fire up straight away, you can have a frustrating morning.
  10. It’s been heavily reduced at least once anyway. Important with birch to go back to decent growth points, which he’s done. I would say it’s a decent job Dunno what the bit in the middle is, maybe he hadn’t finished.
  11. I’ll echo the comment about the starting procedure on the Eder.
  12. They never made up though Mark. Which was always a source of sadness for me.
  13. Not today, but forgot the lowering device on a job taking down oaks. No need to go back to the yard though!
  14. Makes me think of this bit of uphill felling that GB posted on the house the other day. Don’t fancy this one running down the hill at you!
  15. I think it’s telling that the most vociferous anti Israeli accounts on Twitter have shut up about this and moved on. Having an open mind is great. But the truth is the truth. Finding that out is what we should aspire to, not just muttering about media bias and AI.
  16. Dunno, it’s one social media post versus what seems to be overwhelming evidence of its true origins.
  17. I have tried to keep an open mind about this particular incident as it’s important. I have looked at what evidence is available, and sifted through sources trying to judge their reliability. It seems clear to me, mostly by watching the BBC’s reporting it that it (the rocket) originated from Gaza.
  18. When did they say that?
  19. Driving in the half light this morning this stood out like a beacon on an oak stump by the roadside. Grabbed a pic on the way back in better light. Chicken of the woods?
  20. Yes, seen that out here on a clear night. Amazing.
  21. Sure, that’s what you tell the wife you use it for anyway.
  22. On my transits I’ve always had four wheels on the rear axle. Seems to me as I’m usually overloaded it has to be a better option than two. Yet my nephew is buying a 3.5 tonner and is considering a 2 wheeler. Is he wrong, does it really make much difference? Who is running a two wheeler and do you have any issues?
  23. You mean cabling?
  24. Busy here, just been pricing all afternoon been putting in some pretty ambitious pricing which hasn’t put them off. New employee slotted in seamlessly to replace the departed. Might go back to the Ford dealer and see if they still have that new van I cancelled when I had a wobble. Go figure!
