  1. It’s not that they turned a blind eye, they didn’t know she was killing babies. They didn’t have procedures in place or they couldn’t believe it was down to her. They are culpable but not of murder. I don’t know how to absorb these cases, they make no sense, why did she do it? What kind of neurons in her brain got so misdirected that a woman would do this? I find these things exasperating, can’t compute if you know what I mean. https://twitter.com/Gillian_Philip/status/1692809681784160422?s=20
  2. The other aspect of the job I noticed was the machine was flattening the trees, flailing it a bit but perhaps not killing it. The uneven nature of the terrain would not have helped. IME with my flail on thin stuff you have to really be sure to get to where it comes out of the ground otherwise you just strip the upper side.
  3. Not sure that was showing the machine in the best light. What would the alternative method be, clearing saws and blades?
  4. He lives!
  5. Frankly I was rather insulted to be mentioned (as Mountain Man) to be in the same sentence as that bloke. It was like he’d just discovered the internet.
  6. The hammer has fallen!
  7. There’s no need for that!
  8. It also means you have to hear what people say, whether you like it or not, and you don’t get to punch them in the face.
  9. Comical really. A photo found in a file somewhere.
  10. No the ban. MM was an anonymous account I opened a year or so after I (Le Sanglier) was banned. To be fair to MM he wasn’t a troll account, a bit outspoken but pretty good value I thought. I got tired of the duplicity of it, so I contacted Steve and asked to come back on, he agreed and I fessed up about MM, which he was ok about.
  11. I was MM, but you are mistaken about the other thing. I have had three accounts here. Le Sanglier. MM. This one.
  12. Didn’t doubt it for a minute.
  13. You have a car! Wow! I guess you’re dating one of the Pink Ladies you fox you.
  14. Mystery innit?
  15. Or he’s doing it 30% cheaper so he doesn’t pay insurance. Thick as sh1t.
  16. 1% of my turnover.
  17. Nobody sets the prices or plays nicely atm. You cannot even afford a new top handle, so your overview of price structures in ‘the industry’ is worthless.
  18. How long have you been in the ‘industry ‘?
  19. What will I see?
  20. I don’t know what you do really. If you’re topping large Leylandii they’re excellent, as you are often ‘inside’ the trees/hedge and the exhaust and noise is a real pita. You do sound a bit like you’re trying to confirm what you already think rather than listening to advice. What do you do a lot of?
  21. Battery saws are good….sometimes. I love mine in lime trees, poplars and the like. Dead acacia is too hard. Really nice not having to shout over the saw noise. Big removals I’ll take up the petrol saw.
