  1. Id say with money back guarantee it's worth a try.
  2. Bark*
  3. Not Eucalyptus urophylla is it? I know the back is a little rougher on this species.
  4. Happy birthday mate. Hope it's been a great day
  5. If the red robin you planted is dying as well I'd be inclined to think it is bad conditions of some sort of fungus (maybe not as I need to lean more in this area). But how are the other plants/trees doing in the area?
  6. Hold on if you are 100% certain you had nothing to do with the bending of this bar why are you even asking? I'd maybe meet them half way for the cost of the bar if they are a friend, and because they were nice enough to lend it to you. A big bar will eventually bend over time anyway, they can't pin it all on you unless it is at a bloody right angle. Hope this helps
  7. Ahh brilliant thanks for the post. Some stunning specimens in that lot.
  8. That might make for a more amusing thread.
  9. Not me but a work mate got a brand spanking surf board. A neat short board and exactly the kind of one I was on the look out for at the time. Apparently the customer brought it and decided surfing wasn't there cup of tea so just gave him the £400 board for free. Gutted I wasn't on the job with him, there may have been a fight over it though 😄
  10. These puns are kraken me up...
  11. I'm just saying giving more emphasis on the fact that particular tree is likely to come down is never a bad thing. Surely if an app was refused and then if the contractor phoned up and said he has been asked to take the tree down even though an app has been refused then the fine may be less lenient. Not sure how it all works if I'm honest.
  12. I'd say use a metal container of some sort to stop the squirrels achieving their goal. As for finding it the next morning paint it a bright colour (it'll help a little I'm sure). Not sure how the throw line can hit you in the face if I'm honest but we may be talking about different throw lines.
  13. You'd have to get bloody accurate with a drone I'd say. But sounds like a good idea.
  14. Agreed, the problem is too many people nowadays will quite happily pay the fine. But if the tree officer is informed before hand they can't play the 'I didn't realise it was TPO'd' card. Need to do what we can to protect our trees and especially the ones of significance.
  15. Well said mate. We're all grown ups here, we should act like it.
  16. Best Video I have seen in ages. I can't tell if it's a spoof or not either but I'm hoping not. That chainsaw holder is incredible haha
  17. The flexibility is a bonus though in my opinion. But I do like the idea, recycling it would be a nightmare though.
  18. I was looking for something more flexible. But I have looked at stokbard. Thanks for the input
  19. I would have said rubber matts would absorb the dropped branch or dead stob better. With ply sheets a stob from 50ft up would just put a hole in it where as rubber would take the stress better and absorb the energy. Just my thinking.
  20. Haha I wish I had hangover Sunday time but it's not an option with the little one, who make sure we are all up at 6am and gets us out by 9. Hangovers and children do not mix. So let her run off some steam and used the time productively.
  21. Very good point. You win some and Loose more unfortunately. I have lost count of how many times I have been effing and blinding up a majorly underquoted conifer hedge. Swings and roundabouts as they say. That being said if she is living nearby pop round and hand her £50 and say how you feel. It will get her talking and you are likely to get a job or two out of it.
  22. Sthil is the only pole saw that I have used personally and I have never heard of better. However what hight clearance do you need as you may need something with a little more height. In which case it may be with hiring in a MEWP for a day and getting it all done quick time.
  23. No I think that probably made the moment mate haha
  24. If I had that rule I'd be a very grumpy man indeed haha
  25. I would like to add, I practiced for a couple of hours Sunday morning and low and behold I have improved. However my shoulder feels like a truck has hit it, hopefully it won't take 2 hours to hit the mark next time I need to use one. Thanks for all the advice it is greatly appreciated.
