  4. Just worried about platform/cable interface. I know those sheathed lines are ok to bounce the odd limb off but don't want to pop it off the pole
  5. So I did a job recently that has a dead sycamore as one of the trees to be removed, did all the other works and left this till last. It's stone dead and crispy as hell, grabbed a 4" limb at the collar and it snapped. Also it has a single sheathed power cable about 50cm away, now originally ukpn were going to give me a 1m clearance cut but have no just said they will shroud the cable [emoji19] My issue is, platform that close to a cable? Surely I need 1-2m clearance from boom to cable?

  11. There's good money hand cutting but it tends to be awkward trees the fellers can't get to or coppice where the price is t great to start with.
  12. £120-150 a day I'd say. I'd cut that mileage down to say 40 miles each way as guess your running a truck? Trouble is if the money's not there

  15. Using the silky to knock off some epi on an ash and stuck it in my wrist. Severed a nerve and vein, blood shooting out like a comedy sketch but now have no feeling in my thumb [emoji19]
  16. I use my own saws and fuel as you know they work and the mix is good. Also helps when you know what the job is that your going to.

  20. I had used my ported 372 on my m8 but found I needed more power. I'll be looking to get a 661 with lo pro to run it.
  21. Used some today out subbing and ended up with a banger of a headache. Anyone else find that?
  22. There setup for a 660 ideally with lo pro chain and to be fair a 660 will cut anything you'd lift into it. Anything biggger would be quicken to quarter it with an Alaskan and then logosol it
  23. Chainbrake handle hits the uprights so would need to remove brake handle on a 3130. Not sure about an 880
