  1. Some more willow action that's now drying.
  2. I get your logic althought holding end grain onto a belt can be hard. You don't have a lathe by any chance? If so you could make discs for that
  3. I used to have my transit with a bed, sink, lights and porta potty in which was great but nowadays make do with a tarp off the side and a fire for warmth.
  4. Have you looked at stand alone disc sanders. These would have a table and allow you to get a good finish on the end grain without worrying about holding onto the log.
  5. That's fine with me, might even get some water during the day and even a sit down 😜
  6. It will be gut busters for brekky tomorrow.
  7. Even if you cut one at a time on the ground, kneel down and cut with the bar level until the saw body touches the floor, then remove the saw, rotate the log and finish the cut.
  8. Save time and cut them all in a pile on the ground, saves lifting them up into the holder. Just don't hit the ground.
  9. What do people think to hilux so then? Seeing as most people are telling me the navara is crap and also a mechanic tells me to get a hilux. They good once they get up into 150k miles or so?
  10. Thanks again, I'm hoping at mileage it should be a good un. Do you know if they have belts or chains for the timing?
  11. Thanks for the advise mate, this is the truck I'm looking at. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=252108849060&globalID=EBAY-GB
  12. Trying to find THE vehicle that should last me longer than a year and be useful.
  13. Trying to source a vehicle for around the 4k budget tops. Needs to get in and out of woods and tracks, also tow a trailer occasionally. Found a navara with 68k miles on it but seem to have read about gearbox issues and I can't afford to kill another vehicle. Any help guys?
  14. I recently bought an 800kg with cable but it didn't arrive with a handle. Are they available separately so I can start enjoying the tirfor fun
  15. Thanks Gerbutt. These guys jumped out of a willow log today and the grain is amazing.
  16. Generally travel an hour and half each way for work but the money needs to be over £100 for a 9 or 10 hour day or it doesn't work out.
  17. Another order completed and ready to go out the door 4 eating bowls and spoons and a large bowl and serving spoon
  18. Tried taking it off and spraying carb cleaner through it?
  19. Thanks leswold. Been looking at the earlier ones for getting in/ out of the woods with. Only thing as you say is not much towing power. I figured with good tyres they would be pretty unstoppable.
  20. Anybody know what the older models are like?
  21. The adjustment needs to be exact then? I grabbed a set of second hand x2s and from searching the net have read two fingers width below the knee? That sound right?
  22. Thanks for sharing this, I have just spent about 4 hours watching these on YouTube. This is an awesome show, why don't we have country this here to live in.
