  1. What sizes of beech do you have Gareth?
  2. That's pretty close then my shops just outside of Ashford.
  3. Sounds promising. Where abouts are the jobs at?
  4. These two are the very last of my sycamore, I need to find some more wood in Kent for bowls.
  5. Anyone tried any of the Guy Cotten range of jackets/trousers? Made for trawler men so yeah there yellow and you can re enact moby dick but they must be pretty hard wearing.
  6. Now this oak burr is a little special, once it's buffed it may be for sale with the others.
  7. These guys jumped out from today's big batch of sycamore.
  8. My stihl jacket got a test the other day in some heavy rain and well for £60 I'd have been better not wearing it and running.
  9. This guy jumped out of a log that I was making spoons from.
  10. Anybody know what ears are fitted to the new husky tech hats? Mines only a few months old but they don't seem very noise blocking.
  11. What are you looking for size wise?
  12. Been cutting some chestnut today and I forgot how hot it gets.
  13. Hey all I searched but couldn't find anything. After knowing how much chestnut roughly people are cutting per day/week? Hoping to get on a long stand of timber soon and it's just being felled, left in pole length and brash hand burnt. Previously I have been cutting product from tree so that's a little slower, just trying to figure how much I should be able to get down in a day.
  14. Well I buy it from a uk source and have no knowledge of where they get it from Matt.
  15. Getting into climbing and have been messing on ddrt using basic hitches but want to get smoother and have more fun. I have an 11.3mm rope so a zigzag is out, toying with either a lockjack on ddrt with a foot ascender Or A rope wrench/hitch & pulley on srt with foot/hand ascenders Going to be mainly for rec climbs mainly with some work use in there.
  16. Be sensible, watch for the kickback zone and pinching the bar, keep two hands on and your body in the right position and you should be fine.
  17. Thanks Joe, I'm now looking into going full srt
  18. Thanks guys, guess I'll have to try it and see how slick it is 😳
  19. Would I be better with a lockjack on that size?
  20. This may seem a stupid question 😜 I have been given a nearly new samson hot in 11.3mm and want to use a zigzag on it, they say down to an 11.5mm but will that .2mm make a difference?
  21. I could use a chipper on a few woodland jobs but I'm guessing you need a ticket to rent one?
  22. Not had a chance to run mine yet after getting it repaired but I did start and run it up a little to check the trigger the other day and it spat fuel out the exhaust like a goodun and oil from somewhere. Does that seem right?
