  1. That should be the correct file 5/32 - 4mm
  2. Lets hope as you say , getting a bit sick of the substandard rubbish that's offered as an alternative to the mainstay brands . but delays like this tend to point to production issues in far eastern places ? assembled in Germany would be a good guess but i hope not !
  3. Bad for air leaks , base gasket and seals , crank bearings , early saws tended to destroy piston skirts
  4. Rochford were going to be distributor for Solo , last time i spoke to a rep about it was late 2014 early 2015 , major quality control issues in the factory were stated as the hold up then . Ebay was flooded with cheap saws around 2014 , Rochford were looking for Dealers then it all went quiet ??
  5. Someone will know where to look ? We have a "machinery dealer" for major brands in our area that is a well known thieving **** he thinks he is untouchable as he has got away with it for years . hope you get lucky and find your winch ..

    560xp problem

700 hours is not bad for a 560 , just over 6 months work if it was used 5 hours a day average , most i have seen struggle to hit 300 without issue if used on the hill full time

    560xp problem

90 % OF THE 560'S i have seen with this type of fault have been down to carb fault / autotune unit or crank case gasket failure , cylinder gaskets leak like sieves on the 560 ... Husky use sealant now fore and aft on the cylinder .
  9. Stihl recommend HP Super for 4 mix , had 2 in last year with heavy carbon build up running Ultra from new , most is see have valve issues after running Stihl red ect . i use Stihl red in some of my old saws 254 ect with no issues
  10. My local Stihl dealer sells Stihl red with everything , think they even try to sell it with 4 strokes lol ,
  11. From Stihl uk HP Super Semi-synthetic oil with low-ash additives for clean low-smoke burning. 'Low-smoke oil' performance class: JASO-FD, ISO-L-EGD. Fuel/oil ratio: 50:1. Particularly recommended for STIHL 4-MIX engines. I personally only use and sell this for 4 mix engines ..
  12. Why did they sell HP Red for a 4 mix ? Just search Stihl oil for 4 mix
  13. Stihl recommend HP Super for 4 mix not Ultra , had a few issues with modern saws not liking HP red
  14. First thing i am an Aspen dealer , did a few random tests last year with a 576xp non autotune , i wont sell something i have not used myself . saw sounded different on Aspen so i checked rpm readings at wot , 576 would drift into the limiter all the time on pump fuel but on Aspen it would sit at 13200 same H settings , saw felt good in the cut on both fuels ..
  15. No problems , have days like that as well , cheers
  16. Might do that , wonder if they use a rust inhibitor in there 2 stroke oil ? thanks for you helpful reply .
  17. Nope " Recommended by Comma for applications requiring API TC JASO FC FD & ISO L-EGT , L -EGC " where does it say " Meets or exceeds " ? My own observations and nothing more ,
  18. I note that the oil is " Recommended by Comma for applications requiring " Nice marketing no spec is given for what is in the bottle !
  19. You can buy a slide out vice holder , or make one
  20. My old Disco 300tdi would run on all sorts of things Veg , Hyd ect great engines , pity about the rust pile it had to pull about
  21. I always check the oil spec , low cost options are not always suitable for late machinery .

    Stihl ms 661

Mate runs his with Sugi Light 28" , saw feels just right with this .
  23. Always used 10w 40 in Honda engines
  24. About the same here 45 mins or so , i have in the past spent an hour + on a very bad cylinder , the older you get the faster you get !
