  1. Had a couple of 560s with the same issue , saws were both run on old fuel and seized very heavy on the exhaust side after a short period of use , no other issues found apart from very nasty smelling fuel .
  2. Good news , washed out a few very dirty plastic tanks with Fairy liquid and scalding water , flushed with plenty scalding water to remove any detergent then left to dry . had a few machines before with white paste like substance in the fuel not sure if it is an ethanol issue ? usually its lumps of paint from jerry cans i find ..
  3. Yes full of fuel but at the correct level ?? Check the float is not full of fuel or fouling the float chamber and sticking , also check the float height is correct ! needle valves can leak ie not seal correctly flooding the chamber , couple of mm extra fuel in the chamber can cause the engine to flood when at working rpm due to the raised level of fuel in the emulsion tube , Brass or plastic float ? ethanol can destroy both types . Spark breaking down ? a flooding engine will short out the ht system , a hot engine will also cause a weak ht system to fail but you say it fires on easy start Picture of the carb ? Debris floating around the fuel system ? how clean is the carb , my idea of clean is a full strip down and ultrasonic bath
  4. Sticking float or leaking needle valve would be a best guess without seeing the machine , had a couple of brass floats with pin holes in them before , only other odd fault like this i have had before was an exhaust valve jamming open a few tho when machine was hot . Tank spotless ect ?
  5. Pissing with rain and windy here on the West coast of Scotland , got the heating on so a fairly standard July here , looking like a wet winter again if this is anything to go by .
  6. Kawasaki carbs are not a huge fan of ethanol in the petrol IME , had a pile in to get ultrasonic cleaned at the start of the season , remove the carb bowl and check for any sign of water , dirt ect possibly just a bit of grit in the main jet
  7. Has it got a fuel stop solenoid on the bottom of the carb ?
  8. Have repaired 3 560xps this year with the updated cases all were leaking chain oil into the crank , only had one 550xp in this year with this issue . Lift the meter leaver on the 550xp just a fraction ! tune it in a big block and see how it feels . trial and error , cures flat spot and hot start issues on most saws . they run very lean stock .
  9. I have had quite a few in with chain oil leaking into crankcase 550 and 560 , chain oil will leave the tell tale swirl mark on the piston crown .
  10. Forgot to ask , have you tested for air leaks ? is the saw burning chain oil ! markings on the piston would suggest chain oil
  11. Looks like a saw with severe fueling issues ie running rich , carbs have been updated a few times due to problems .
  12. Never thought of that ! knowing the dealer a spark plug would be about there limit on a modern saw .
  13. Not my place as it is not my saw , i was asked for my opinion by the owner of the saw , 99% sure the saw has run a crank bearing so i just cant see why there should be a big issue for warranty , he has tried to retrieve the saw from the dealer on a few occasions !
  14. The dealer has been stringing him along for months with tales of this that and the other , i have a funny feeling this saw has had a warranty claim made against it before it even left its box !
  15. Yes my thoughts as well .. Dealer has refused to send the saw to Husqvarna uk for a second opinion on the fault !
  16. Chap i know purchased a 555 10 months ago , saw was converted to 3/8 by the dealer ,in December last year the saw started running lean /very high tickover lack of power ect / saw was taken back to the supplying Husqvarna dealer . Now nearly 6 months down the line the dealer still has the saw and has stated that the saw is not under warranty as it has been running 3/8 chain ! . Anyone have any thoughts on this ?
  17. Husky dealers have had there knuckles rapped for this kind of info before , read your handbook for oil spec , you will note Husky recommend the use of Alkylate fuel ie Aspen . good fuel and a quality oil is the key not the Brand name on the side of the bottle ..
  18. C1 did not want the job as he is not capable of doing it (but he can talk a good job ) he goes around giving stupid low quotes for work then never turns up when agreed . Even though he has not turned up to do the job C1 classes it as " His Job " and god forgive anyone that steps on his toes, so most wont quote if he has been on the scene . C2 did quote so C1 had to teach him a lesson , this is where it gets messy ! C1 was not capable of doing this job so he roped in C3 who was capable but also young and green and easy to bull **** .. So now C1 has told the land owner he has done the job for zero as C2 was a cowboy ect ect , Now C1 is the self proclaimed hero of the hour saving the poor client from cowboy contractors ect ect this is what he thrives on , it has nothing to do with the money .
  19. Your hitting the nail on the head i would say ..
  20. Given your location i would say C1 would be well known to you
  21. C2 quoted £450 , i have no idea of C1 original quote , C3 has only told me that C1 was going to pay him £200 cash when he was paid for the work but the client has refused to pay , i told him to ask the Landowner for the £200 as he is getting the job done for less than half of C2 quote so he should be happy , this is when the **** hit the fan as the land owner has informed him C1 has done the job for free and by the way who are you ? C1 is apparently sticking to his guns and claiming he has not been paid !
  22. C1 has good public reputation , odd chap to deal with, if he starts an argument about something even if you know your right and he is wrong half way through you start questioning yourself if you are actually right ? hard to describe it is just something about the way he twists everything around .. if your winning the argument he will just turn his back and tell you you know nothing which kind of leaves you deflated just the way he does it makes you feel you lost !
  23. Correct , C1 is the hero he cut the trees for free , or so the land owner thinks
  24. LOL why not ? ,
  25. C2 is not that bothered as he is busy anyway , i do feel sorry for C3 as you need paid when your just getting on your feet , C3 will not want to rock the boat as C1 has a "butter would not melt" public face , his word against the new upstart .
