  1. Hope you are going to complain to your supplier , personally i would dump the lot back on there door step
  2. The old Iveco six diesels were a fairly robust engine , intercooler and fine tuning of the pump should give you a nice engine , personally i would not raise the boost on an engine with this mileage or your likely to end up with a runaway when the turbo spits its guts , caution also as too much fuel will also lead to a thermal runaway condition , seen plenty of high boost actuator rod bodges over the years , screwing the rod in until the waste gate only opens 2 mm is not the wisest of ideas .
  3. Robbed if you pay 1k for that lot
  4. Sounds like the saw could be flooding , i never find the need to use the decomp on a 660 when it is hot . weak lever spring or worn needle would cause the saw to flood after a hot shut down ..
  5. I think this is the one , it is a friends machine so i am just doing the plumbing for them as a fav ,
  6. RSL Log grab, hydraulic rotator for 1.5t excavator package deal Inc vat | eBay
  7. There are a few on Ebay , in the process of fitting one to a 3t machine for a friend , just remember to budget for pipe work / hoses ect , has your machine got 2 way ? Plenty of junk for sale so beware a £500 grab will not last long

    560xpg vs 6100

Agree with you there , more oil = less fuel and vise versa , there is possibly a sweet spot with each brand rather than the "safe" 50:1 that is quoted ,
  9. TBH the Rep i know is always up to speed with products / issues and will always take interest in problems with saws old or new . i fit a lot of 560 clutches in a year but it is the most popular saw around here .
  10. I keep 4 clutches in stock and have fitted 2 so far this month , very common issue with these saws .

    440 vs 460

Got one on the bench just now same problem from new , over fueling at idle
  12. My Transit has been very reliable 2010 2.4 mwb rwd 115 bhp , had a Van Tuner remap so it goes well , the van has had one front wheel bearing , 2 anti roll bar links and a set of discs in 95k , 27mpg average which is not bad as it is a service van so it is heavy ..
  13. Sounds like it has been running on Home brew Bio derv or wvo ..
  14. A sharp blow with a hammer can demagnetize a flywheel , magnets are a complex beast ..
  15. Personally i would rebuild a saw that had suffered a failure like this . Loose plug or fueling issues / saw running very hot with vibration from piston causing plug to become loose / poor quality fuel / plain worn out saw run at max rpm for extended periods ..
  16. Chipper is a "tag" that has stuck with semi chisel chain , i suppose it is the closest modern offering to a true chipper chain , wipes the floor with full chisel in dirty wood IMO
  17. Loose plug would lead to the saw running lean , Husky 550 and 560 are very guilty for digesting dust but i doubt very much this pushes piston towards the exhaust !! it will wear out the piston leading to slap and skirt failure IMO , 1.5MM is a horrendous amount of wear on a skirt the saw must have been rattling , no doubt the crank and bearings are well shot , from the pictures i would say the saw was running lean and has been used very hard
  18. From the Horses mouth Piranha Becomes Rotatech Chainsaw Chains
  19. Bent crank is a poss , if the saw stopped dead at max rpm it could twist the crank , this would cause air leak at seals
  20. A friend of mine purchased a few Piranha chains he runs them on his 560xp , i have tried out the saw with these chains and TBH they loose the edge very quickly even in clean conditions , my 560xp running Oregon 21bpx ran rings round his saw in the same conditions that day ..
  21. Had a 14 foot dory with 40hp yamaha , used the boat in Lochgoil and the Firth of Clyde for a spot of fishing , This is a small boat once your out in the drink with a bit of swell ,
