  1. Repitition is definitely key with ID's. There is a shelf above my toilet and on it is a Collins tree book and the RHS encyclopaedia of plants: I read these when I'm taking a dump. No lie. Also walking around plant nurseries is really good for identifying stuff.
  2. Hi, I'm having utter dramas trying to get the replaceable under deck off of my hayter. There's literally 2 or 3 screws left near the top/neck of the mower but I just can't get to them! Do I need to drop the whole assembly out to get to it or something? I hope someone can help because it's getting emotional
  3. Plus one for the ISC 100kn pulley. I'm finding the Yale orange rigging rope to be pretty versatile (sorry not sure of mm without looking it up!!). Are you looking on FR Jones website? They do a complete rigging kit with the pulley and rope I just mentioned. It also has a better friction device and its prob not far off the price you've got so far. Check it out Rigging box 2
  4. We can dump at the municipal dump but it costs a fortune.. So no one bothers. The green waste site near me is £25 + vat. I factor the cost of the waste into every job, whether it be 1/2 load £15 or full load £30
  5. I do have a sleeve of tattoos on my left arm, easily covered if necessary and I like to think it was done in good taste. More of an arty expression if you like. But, others who have dodgy tattoos like 'England' just randomly slapped somewhere on their arm or 'Nan' on their neck; no, just no
  6. If you got found out by the pump company could they/would they take other work from you. Even if they wouldn't, they're going to look at it as poor integrity. You'd potentially be making a short term bit of extra money, but long term you could screw other contracts up. Play the long game, you'll earn more.
  7. Pfffttt... I would just turn him over. By order of the peaky fockin blinders 😂
  8. I had an insurance claim for kit once.. Didn't ask for a thing but a crime reference. The guy even told me that I could spend the money on golf clubs for all he cared.... Just as long as your premiums are going up, they're covered.
  9. Ah, yes this sounds more like it. Thanks for the clarification mountain man
  10. Might just be too much rum, but I don't even understand this. Makes no sense at all. Can someone break it down into laymans terms please?
  11. Zombie gunship.. It's great. Unleash hell on the undead with an ac130 gunship
  12. Depends if you want the work. Do what they want or someone else will.
  13. Yep, celandine. Nothing a bit of glyphosate can't handle
  14. Oh yeah!! Desperate times though!!! Would have been good if they had worked!
  15. Literally one of the best bits of kit in my bag. The drive to my mower - cable ties.. Broken knapsack sprayer - cable ties. Assistance when rebuilding a clutch on a large scarifier - cable ties!!! I even remember a thread on here when a guy used them on his lanyard when removing a dead tree so he'd have an easy cut off point should the tree have gone over! Awesome.
  16. I know people that climb in meindl wood walkers. To be honest I didn't even know there was a difference! I climb in Arbortec Scafell XER just in case you wanted to know. Took a bit of getting used to but I absolutely love them. Awesome grip
  17. If you go Kingswood, you can borrow prussiks and krabs etc. One guy on my course borrowed everything except harness cos everything he turned up with was either something you wouldn't let your worst enemy climb in or was for rock climbing!!!
  18. Hurry up and do my little patio then we can go for a climb in the woods behind my house You can borrow some bits off me if worse comes to worse. You might want a thicker line than your Srt one for the course, prob work better with the prussiks. Dual purpose lanyard would prob be better than a wire core for the 38. Other than that you pretty much got it covered. I'd practice some knots that you'll have to demonstrate.. Bowline, alpine butterfly, blakes hitch, fishermans...
  19. Just price the work. Don't sell time or that's all you'll ever earn
  20. Hi, Could do with extra pair of hands on a big beech thin on Saturday 28th May. Should be a sweet day, PM me your day rates. Cheers, Matt
  21. It's a left turn then a right turn, quite tight too. Great idea though.
