  1. take it off me watch list then thanks
  2. Theres a 335xpt on ebay at mo, any comments, pros and cons, will only be used lightly, no climbing, up in cradle on loader mostly.
  3. Snow showers and windy
  4. Cold and drizzly, tesco driver says we are to have snow by morning. Internet says next few days windy and sleet/hail. we will see.
  5. I have that trouble, try the refresh symbol after pressing login, that works for me.
  6. Have a look on the stiles and bates web site, set of 12 record £69, or shop around for a deal on a proxxon motorised carver.
  7. Will have a look at it in morn, left plug out overnight to see if pot dries out. When it runs its a lovelly saw to use all day. Got a 480cd, never had a problem with it, even if it sits for months. Normally use 555 or the jonsered.
  8. Got the Husky 154se off the shelf to give it a run today for a change, wouldnt fire, took the plug out, wet, dried it off, tried again, wet, took top off carb and under the diapraph was laying in fuel, blew out with air line, tried again but plug was wet again, any ideas.
  9. We have a rebaud 17t with a top winch at mo, too slow and only do a two way splitter, so always multi handling large butts. Used winch once to try, waste of time. Trading in for palax processor and splitmaster.
  10. We are going for a splitmaster, been to jas p wilsons to try their demo, impressed with it. Well worth giving simon a call, he may know of s/h ones coming up
  11. Would it not have been easier to lay the poles lengthways and grease them well to make like a slipway type thingy, he must use the winch to pull it out of the water.
  12. You have probably discussed this in the past, but for us newbees, what type/sort/make etc do you wear or recommend. All be it i do have a bad hip which seems to set the back off and vice versa.
  13. I have worked on several estates in the past 30 years and at the interviews they have all said they would put me through for tickets but it has never happened, in the end i payed for me spray and telehandler and taken the time out of annual leave, so thinking of doing me chainsaw, bought all me own ppe over the years.
  14. Could do, but i dont have that many roe on here, and i aint paying to go stalking. Got a roe in the freezer which me mate gave me. Theres one been laying on the side of the 713 for a week now, just waiting for that to ripen a bit more:001_smile: Might get an invite up to me mates in perthshire on the hinds, but he will want me to climb some b****y great hill, and then drag it all the way back. Prefer to do a driveby.
  15. Get to know a gamekeeper and get a piece of venison from him or try a game dealer, dont pay silly butcher prices. I used to get £2.50-£2.75 a kilo from a game dealer so that shows the mark up once it arrives at the butchers.
  16. Sunflower hearts, they eat them like going out of fashion, we have to fill feeders every other day, peanuts for red squirrels, screwed a board to the window ledge outside the kitchen window and stuck a feeder on the window, fat balls. I think last winter we were ordering seed etc once a fortnight.
  17. If you can get it either ox cheek or ox tail, loads of veg, the woman puts it in the slow cooker on low for the day. Then teatime put some suet dumplings in the pot for the last 20 mins or so and if youre in the mind to do some mash pots, and a couple of slices of thick bread to mop up the gravy mmmmmm!!! Rabbit in a stew works just as well
  18. Can you pm me with prices, contact, selection pack, etc. or are they going to be on arbtrader sometime
  19. Got a couple of kenwood 2 ways with chargers if you dont mind s/h i could sell
  20. Where do you sell your xmas decs mike? Turned me first unsupervised bowl yesterday from a piece of burr berch, not bad, as soon as me woman has polished it and taken a pic i will post it here. Thats another xmas present out of the way. Aldi lathes rule!
  21. Bought an oregon chain grinder that fitted to your bar, instructions were basic, couldnt understand them, slung it in the cupboard, and thats where it stayed. Went back to files.
  22. I think you have to go straight to the butt and wonder if you need a longer bar
  23. I have heard of an estate uses it grain store to dry its wood chip once all grain is gone. Next door estate to dumaglass is having another shed put up for chips, dont know how they dry theres
