    Rats!

We dont seem to have had such a rat problem like last year (hundreds), used loads of poison, had to keep changing types so they did nt get used to same one. Have noticed a stoat in ermine down the farm, perhaps he is doing the job for me. The border likes a good ratting session but he is no where as good as a cairn terrier i had donkeys years ago. The lurcher was good for digging, if left to her own devices, the craters she would create in the garden

    moles

Looks like one of them rodentator things they used for blowing up rabbit burrows. Think they may have banned them here, not sure. Principle was pump propane into the holes, count to whatever it was then push the ignitor button, boom. I think there were a few accidents with them.
  14. Well how did you get on?
  15. I used a jonsered 2153 on a 15", it was light enough when your up and down in the loader.
  16. Many thanks also, received my oil lunchtime today, brill. Well done again steve.
  17. Google how to hang a farm gate
  18. To stop the gate sagging once hung, nail a piece of 4x2 on the bottom of your clapper post and the gate sits on it.
  19. Just get a fixed magnification one as you will find the low budget variable are not that good. I have a variable on my rimfire for the past 25 years and its always been set on 7x mag. Aint you got that bloody great gun shop near exeter.
  20. Are you not using a threaded hangerpin on the top strap and a shorter knock in pin at the bottom? Or are you using bolt on plates. We have some 6 foot wooden gates here that have hangers that bolt onto the side of the gate which and have threaded adjusters.
  21. Where's your snow then tom?
  22. Walked the dogs as usual, mucked out the horse for the missus as she has a cold. Done a bit to a couple of sticks in the garage until i got cold. Afternoon on couch watching trash films. Now watching moonraker and waiting for the neighbours to drop a chinky off on their way past. Bottle of badger to wash it down. Slob.
