  1. What!! I challenge anyone with any chipper to beat my 125!! Wouldn't mind a 230 though!
  2. Nothing wrong with a 125 at all, great chippers!!
  3. I have a stein one, when we need its, it's great so would say don't waste your money hiring one as after a hire or two you could own one. Its not used all the time but when it is its well worth it.
  4. I have hired these machines a few times for bigger commercial type jobs and think performance wise they are brilliant. Every time I use one i wish its was mine! I can't comment on how much fuel they use, it never really crossed my mind to be honest. If I had a steady amount of this type work I would definitely give serious thought to buying one.
  5. Yep fuelwood for me also for hire and also purchase when required.
  6. THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!

    • FOR SALE
    • USED

Selling my 125 Timberwolf chipper which has had light use. Current hours 255 but still in use. Owned from new, full service history (all paperwork available). Always stored inside. Never once let me down

  7. Do you have a video of the new set up in motion yet, it would be good to see?
  8. I have, over the years done quotes for two people with very nice cars on the driveway (Lamborghini & Ferrari), minor works really however both potential customers told me no as it was too much. I am talking 100's not 1000's of pounds worth of work. I have equally worked for a few well known people with equal wealth (I Imagine) who were more than happy to accept my quote. My most favourite days at work, working for the average Joe who's really understands the value of money and pays the invoice without delays due to this fact.
  9. Steve could you please add to Arb Talk an Ignore Wife button, I feel that could come in handy? Ta
  10. I have just ignored this thread!!
  11. For me my concern is being able to cut a hedge with ease so a comb of the both. Yep I can't see anything bigger as yet.
  12. Yep I have all the standard Sthil stuff as I do this for a living so to speak but wondered if there something on the market I haven't seen to deal with bigger hedges (other than using a chainsaw?) Seen the HS82 but haven't used, need to update and don't want to have to buy again anytime soon
  13. Hi please could you let me know what are the biggest cutting hedge trimmers currently on the market? I have seen the Still 82's rc. Is there anything bigger cut wise ?? Ta
  14. Thanks Steve I did but it wasn't showing up before will try again
  15. Hi Chaps, Anyone have a site near to this post code MK455AU I could use tomorrow for one load of clean chip please? Would be in a transit so need a site that the truck wouldn't get stuck in!! Ta.
  16. True, pros and cons. Just a shame to buy twice (if that happens in the future). I know from my own experience I have done that machine wise. No great harm done though.
  17. I may try that sounds interesting and it is Friday night!
  18. You could try James Silk agricultural company ltd 07909 110082. He is currently building me a log splitter, could set up! Out of interest why not a hydraulic, got to be easier than manual?
  19. It's easy, you don't make the decision you leave it to the TO to do so. Everyones a goodie in the end!
  20. I talk from real-time experience outside of arb situations but in realtime trauma as first responder type situation we need to be realistic. Heavy uncontrolled bleeding, falls leading to compromised airways, serious burns are my personal top 3 within arb so I equip myself to deal with these equipment wise. Then less major events follow. Thankfully we have the NHS to back us up when things go wrong, hopefully. So I would make sure that your first packs have the essential bits of equipment to deal with such situations.
  21. Avant 630 & Operator Hire. I am hiring myself as the operator with my AVANT 630. It has a hydraulic rotating log grab and can lift 1.1 tons. Great for heavy timber jobs or waste removal with long drags etc and for directly feeding chippers etc. Based in Hertfordshire but will to travel to any area as required. Fully insured and I myself hold various tree industry tickets. I can also bring along on request both a bucket and folks. Please PM me for further details and to make a booking. Thanks.
  22. Yep I did that awhile back not heard yet hence my desperate cry for help!!
  23. I would like to put on a post for loader services I wish to offer to members, please can someone advise me where this goes? Thanks
