  1. Good advice from Mark. Search out your local tree surgeons, do some good research online on these companies you wish to approach. Most will not entertain it but if you are lucky when you contact them one or two might be kind enough to help you out. Remember though in truth you could be the future competition in a few years if your plans go to plan! No harm in trying and just being honest etc.
  2. Yep just looked at your photo's and videos. Sorry to say its just rubbish firewood really. So if I were removing this timber I would be charging you for this service. If you have a wood burner and are not too fussed what you burn then ask whoever you select to remove the trees to log it up for you.
  3. He's on a roll!!! My truck is just about to have a winter oil change. Are there any mechanics out there who can do this for me please, then also offer me something for the old oil? Just a thought!
  4. Thanks Mark that's great will give them a call in the morning.
  5. I require a 26m-30m MEWP with qualified operator for one day in Hertfordshire junction 10 A1M asap please if anyone can assist? It will be in a garden with access to a transit size truck if required. Ideally though a tracked MEWP.
  6. I never really find these kinds on situations as much of a drama really, surgery meet tree owner, tree owner meet surgery, once you two have come to an agreement, put it in writing to me and l will get back to you with you quotation. Done!
  7. Yep I know what you mean about that I guess its trail and error and as already mention don't get greedy. Nothing much to look at online that I can find anyway.
  8. Would you say that the Avant shear (just as a grab) would be strong enough to hold (subject to ground conditions etc) a topped conifer tree of around 10ft x 2ft in diameter? I know this is how long is a piece of string etc? I would be interested to know what limits you avant users have reached.
  9. Is a rotator essentail? I haven't yet ever used a shear so all info/opinions very welcome!
  10. I have requested the cost of both the avant shear and the Jak one, hopefully its not just a pipe dream!!
  11. Yes Doobin I know what you mean but for me with any attachment I own or hire its about being efficient and saving an already ageing body!
  12. Yep I like the look of that though guessing it will be very pricey.
  13. I want it to be able to hold a vertical branch/trees of sensible sizes etc so I can then the the branch/trunk and move it one go. It looks like from the photos/comments this is possible.
