  1. Ah sorry. In this case I will be right there!
  2. If no one has tipped for free not sure how you charging for this is going to approve your chances!!
  3. It is simple, leave it to your accountant to deal with and don't worry about it. Just make sure your accountant is real!
  4. Yep, its not an issue its just nice to be armed with a credible come back
  5. 8am-2pm on a Saturday & tree removals. Just moaning about noise on a Saturday. I don't care about the complaint just would be good to know the exact rules so I can provide a professional response. Removing trees doesn't come under building or construction so I wouldn't quote or work to this guide. Thats all can currently find online.
  6. All I can find is noise relating too building or construction which are not relevant? So therefore, not seeing any governance on this subject (in the short term).
  7. Had a complaint about noise recently whilst carrying out tree removals. Please could anybody direct me to the UK laws on this matter?
  8. I suppose, but experience helps me navigate these situations with ease. Saying that we will see what this week brings!
  9. Anyone who takes on a job like this (if they have been made aware) is desperate for work and most likely inexperienced. Hands up who wants to go to work and get grief, not me, I will stay at home and just post on Arbtalk thanks very much!
  10. My advice, stay small, stay busy, stay professional and enjoy nice equipment and no real hassles.
  11. Working or moving to OZ isn't easy and it takes a huge amount of paperwork and lots of hoops to jump through. If you are successful plan 8-12months a head of time. Lots of factors to consider, like you do not know the market (in whichever country you choose), different quals, some not transferable. Whole new different approach to work, work ethics in OZ differ greatly. I would say do not promise the world to potential employers, let your work speak for its self. Good luck
  12. I think we should be on a three rope system just to be sure, I really do!
  13. I will get a tow bar on the Klou grab when I get one. One day I hope I will own a decent size chipper so could come in handy.
  14. PS unless I am looking in the wrong place there isn't really that much about these grabs on Utube etc?. Ps I am an I.T. biff!
  15. Thanks Mick, looks like you are getting to grips with your new Avant! I want this Klou grab for vertical standing trees as I have mentioned in the past. I have a job later this year which this grab will be great for, the job pays for the grab so fair enough. Looking for the easy machine life now!
  16. Has anyone got any good footage or photos of the Klou fixed grab. I am on the brink of buying one for my avant and have been for awhile now. Would be great to see it in action as there's not much on line that I can find. I will have one by August.
  17. Nah sorry your notice is lacking a lot of info I would say, certainly wouldn't get away with just sending that in my areas of work. The planning portal is simple (once you have done a few apps). Takes 10-15 max and you have to address every question thus meaning you will not get responses like you have leading to delays etc.
  18. I have just done stage 2 of 3 (stage 1 was a year ago) of a tree removal due to ground/building issues. This was via a professional survey, nothing to do with me I am just the tree guy!
  19. Yep I get that that could happen. If in doubt I go along. Early days for me doing it this way, been ok so far but I am sure it won't always be perfect!
  20. I have just this year started asking people who contact me to what's app me photos and videos of the trees, its been very helpful. Firstly those who bother to do so are then filtered out from those who can't be bothered. Once I have looked at the pictures, I filter jobs I do not want. So therefore I either go and see the ones I want or just quote from the photos (with a few more questions answered). I never thought I would do it this way but due to the workload going mad I really didn't have a choice. I am happy it works.
