  1. A free tip site is helpful both ways, so what does it really matter.
  2. Yep makes such a difference when you get a loader at work. Saves time and back ache!
  3. Looks like that has a good lift!
  4. Hi Does anyone have this grinder if so are they easy to use? Also will they track up (on ramps) onto the back of a transit? Any other thoughts, comments? I will get a demo but would rather here from real users!
  5. I bet you use this grab more than any other after awhile. I seem to be getting more and more work where a Klou grab for standing stuff (topped Conifers removals etc) would be very handy and make my life easy.
  6. I have the same rotator as this, game changer great attachment. Just check the hydraulics for tight fitting from time to time. I want to get the fixed Klou grab next hopefully soon .
  7. yes you are not wrong about that!
  8. I have used it once on hire, hiring again soon just not sure how good it is as I have nothing to compare it with. Didn't seem amazing. Its just my own veg growing etc on my plot.
  9. Has anyone got any recommendations for a good rotator for a loader Avant loader which isn't the Avant one? I would like something strong enough to turn over grass etc.
  10. I can only compare it a hand winch Tirfor type. Guess the appeal is that it has an immediate effect! Mine is front mounted.
  11. I think the added bonus of the winch is that you are static when pulling, no issues reversing when pulling like lack of space or articulation etc? Also as I mentioned before easy to add greater pull vis different rope set up systems.
  12. I haven't been stuck (yet with the winch fitted). I do know someone who has a ground spike fitted to their winch (good idea on some types of ground) but I think it limits the overall use on solid ground as the position of the pull has to be as low as possible according at least to the user guide.
  13. Yep I get the buried in the ground bit and also the rear pull, both great options. Also though can I suggest various options like 2:1 or greater? I haven't actually done this with the current winch, haven't needed to do so but of course its easy to increase the pull when winching relative to the rope/method used etc.
  14. Yep will do if it happens. Yep the Avant winch has surprised me. When I got it recently I thought it would be okish, however it seems very powerful to me! I would reccomend it to those who maybe interested.
  15. Thanks I am all good just exploring the different options and uses for the avant on this site. Sounds like the normal stump grinding approach is the way forward.
  16. I may then hire the stump grinder attachment to see what its like. I have heard mixed reports however not seen it in action for real.
  17. I did wonder that and not wanting to damage the machine etc. Have seen a few avant videos, none looked amazing. I have a ripper attachment which I have used for minor groundwork's which is good, nothing heavy though.
  18. Has anyone tried to remove a Conifer tree stump (2ft diameter) with an Avant ripper? I assume digging round the lateral roots would be a start? Also leaving the trunk high as a counter lever etc. I also have an avant winch which I could use. This would be the first opportunity for me to use this method as I can get my machine on site. Normally I would stump grind. Any real videos would be great. Ta.
  19. Leylandii x driveway = Fell! Basic's. Have a good weekend all!
  20. Yes they are brilliant, batts last forever in the trimmer (not the chainsaws though). Batts are interchangeable with other H equipment unlike other brands which are not.
