  1. Hi, Please can you recommend anywhere to buy good quality log bags 1 ton or thereabouts size. I want to split my wood and then season it in them which is something I have not done before. I would like quality bags that will hopefully last and its for personal use only. Thanks all.
  2. Biggest question would be what's the second job of the day!!:))
  3. Its 100% not a Beam or Hornbeam!!
  4. Its all about the base!!
  5. Yep guessed it was likely to be an issue, but do they chew through the bags? I currently just store loose but would like to change to a better system. I bait pretty much all of the time but the rats still come along!!
  6. Yep have made enquires also about these via an Avant dealership. Never used or seen one other than on u tube though!!
  7. Ah ok thanks mick, yep I am wanting it to deal with larger & longer rounds prior to them being logged via log processing.
  8. The one you have is what I am after Mick, did you have this made for your machine?
  9. Does anyone run one, if so how is it and who makes them? Ps I can only see the wood processor on Avant site currently.
  10. Yep true but wondering if that's a common experience as I don't want to switch to this method if its a drama?
  11. I am thinking about storing my firewood in bags to dry and store but wondering would/do rats chew through these bags?
  12. I have sena intercoms. They are great. Yes you press a button to call but its a big button so not an issue when wearing gloves. That button sends a beep to the others on the system and then automatically you (the button presser) goes live mic/voice. When the call is finished it ended by someone pressing the button to disconnect. If you were playing music before pressing the button then this automatically comes back on. If your phone is connected it will cut out the music for you to answer. Great bit of kit.
  13. Don't think I am sold on this idea currently given the feedback.
  14. I did wonder if an electric saw might be an option, never seen one working in the flesh though?
  15. Does anyone own or use a Stihl MSA 220 C-B Chainsaw? I am thinking of buying one (only for log processing) in my yard. Is it worth it as they are not cheap? Basically I just want to cut down on noise etc. Thanks
  16. Nope! Have a good weekend all.
  17. There's definitely something wrong somewhere then as my ones can be loaded and left for 1-2 days and still have embers.
  18. I am not sure where you stand from a legal standpoint however if it were me I would want a full refund (and would investigate how to achieve this in advance). The list you have mentioned is completely unacceptable. Sorry to hear this hope you get this resolved soon.
  19. My best friend!
  20. I currently have 2 of these fires and love them. Looking at your picture it doesn't appear you have a bed of ash built up so therefore you would have lots more air and quicker burning. I would say you need a few days worth of ash to make the fire burn more steady with good control. I only empty my ash after a few weeks. I always light mine, leave the fire doors slightly open with the kindling and a few logs, for quite some time, then add just one well seasoned log. Once this log gets going then I add more and close the door. I only close the fire fully down ( but a half a turn back for some air to come in) when going to bed. In the morning both are still burning when opened up for new logs. I have flues on both fires and only burn seasoned wood.
  21. Any idea how much these are currently new? Good luck with the viewing.
