  1. Might be worth looking into this as Myerscough College up our way do a Saturday "landowner" type 1 day course that is aimed keeping all your arms and legs attached rather than providing qualifications.
  2. Know any one in the RAF? A Sea king and winch man would do the trick nicely! (Words of wisdom from Spud as usual! The wealth of knowledge on Arbtalk never ceases to amaze, this thread is a cracking example....)
  3. This was in the field last night, after a Pop pulling session. Nice old Beut still working hard. (I know who's it is but I'll let them speak up if they're on here)
  4. Smack on Skyhuck. this is where i reckon my place was on the limits for size hence they pulled the plug. I Didn't loose anything so no big deal but was interesting to look into.
  5. Update on this. We got a letter confirming our deposit had been refunded after a long wait. Apparently new Legislation has made it very difficult for them to complete all the paperwork etc etc.. I suspect our property was on the boundaries so was to risky for them. I'll KIT if anything else crops up. Shame as it did appear a pretty good deal.
  6. Grazon 90 always works for me. Not sure what its like to get now,ive had it for a while:sneaky2:
  7. slight derail, but i love my Airpower Golds but whats best for looking after em? used to use Meindl sportwax on my climbing Meindls. and is a big plus of airstreams that u don't need to faff about waxing em up? Thanks.
  8. Standard saw or Ported? (Spudded in UK Terms:thumbup:) Interesting to know that it works OK for the once in a blue moon job.
  9. Here's one you did earlier Spud... My Mate "Huskyman" and his "spudded" 372 it goes like a gud un! Highly recomended! on a 28" as well:scared1:
  10. Thanks for that v helpful info. Yes am looking into this as well. AFAIK there's no meter its calculated from the GD/EPC Requirement. I'll confirm this.
  11. I checked that as that was my thoughts,no they provide the first tonne FOC then they prefer if you buy from them but they don't insist and as long as you use Correct grade etc you should be OK. BUT I'm going to double check this.
  12. I should also add they are picky on your RHI value. got to fall within certain KW to qualify.from memory was between 20kw to 50kw
  13. Yes that was my first thoughts but have done a fair bit of research and digging. and yes they take up to 99% of the RHI. you can decide how much,i went for the 99% so i just pay 1% of the install cost and then nothing for 7 years.(they pay servicing etc) maybe worth a look at boilershare.co.uk (and no its nothing to do with me:001_smile: just thought it would be helpful to other members,im also told it won't lats for ever with RHI dropping...)
  14. Thanks A Does looks like its going to be a goer. I'll keep you posted on how it works out but looks pretty good so far. A complete Biomass boiler install for £135 and just the pellet costs for 7 years through RHI. (I'm going through the T+C's with a fine tooth comb and it looks OK)
  15. Hi All Anyone had any experience with GEE "Propel" Biomass Boilers? Looking at one via the boiler share scheme. It seems a little bit to good to be true so looking at carefully but fully funded for 7 years under RHI seems attractive to replace a 20 odd year old Oil Burner. Be glad of any advice and if you supply Pellets in Lancashire drop me a message as i may well be needing some if it works out! Thanks in advance.
  16. Nice Thick Frost, -3.5C on the pickup Gauge. At Long last!
  17. A re-sand and a couple of coats of lacquer or oil would see that as good as new. but watch it as it could be an engineered board (only guessing as can't see size of boards from pic) hence you will only have a few mils of wear layer to sand. Definitely Hire a proper Flooring Belt sander for this job or if in doubt get a quote of floorlayer ,we all know what it feels like when someone trys DIY "Tree Surgery".
  18. I wouldn't worry to much as it can be for various reasons, where the hosting server is located, where the ISP is based etc... Failing that get a yellow reliant robin....Skipton,Paris,New York...:001_cool:
  19. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/large-equipment/65046-show-us-your-arb-diggers-please.html worth a look loads of helpfull info on here.(and some cool kit..)
  20. Odd looking but truly awesome! i tried one a bit back for removing some mortar and bricks etc and wow its incredible..so precise compared to normal grinder.
  21. if it helps,i know they ain't cheap but we've used them "Groundguards" a few times for temporary carparks, with a telehandler and a few lads you can cover acres (literally) in no time. they will handle anything you can throw at them, absolutely bomproof!
  22. For the record i often have 2 forward facing seats in the back of my Amarok ,one is a pretty big "maxi cosi" recling thing, its a bit tight but definately do-able.
  23. oakeydokie Twas from leisure Lakes Bikes a local outfit probably paid over the odds but got one of the first ones £369 inc Vat ...ouch BUT again its mind blowing, just got a few mounts for it so watch out!
  24. Just got the new Hero4 its incredible. Very impressive video quality . Kids have "tested" it...in the bath! and its survived.. Not taken it up tree yet but comes with a sticky mount that should go straight onto the Vertex. Not cheap but promised myself one for years...in a word getone!
  25. This is my reference point. I have never actually bought off them though.. Heating Oil Prices UK Chart | Home Heating Oil Prices
