  1. True, but how often do we tow 3.5 T? (Digger draggers accepted) I do wonder i we are all a bit obsessed with the 3.5 t thing? Myself included. Can easily pop it up to SV to uprate when you get your tacho fitted...?
  2. Tows great...had some "optimistic" loads on mine...shrugs it off. Don't worry about low...the auto is genuinely great..
  3. Don't post much but this thread popped up... I'm a big amarok fan...had them for the last 7 years...and that's just the 2.0L version. Stick a set of All Terrains on them and they go pretty much anywhere...we've done loads of greenlanes in the lakes...much to the surprise of the resident Landrover mob! Good residuals...car like comfort ..massive rear tray...and the V6 goes like stonk. What's not to like...apart from not the cheapest..but we all buy Stihl or husky don't we...???

  7. Derwent...get yourself down to the guys at Platypus marine and hire a SUP and explore the lake...beautiful way to enjoy the lake. Surprise view is always worth a look if in Borrowdale.. Or take a plod up catbells. I could go on...!
  8. Great to have you in the area, there's some monster trees in the lakes , visited the monster next to Thirlmere a while back. https://www.monumentaltrees.com/en/gbr/england/cumbria/ ?
  9. Preston area- Lancs. Not actually mine but a very good friend and we were just discussing last night about sticking an Engcon on it etc. So be very interested in getting prices.
  10. Thanks for the comment as ever Eddie. Prices these things are commanding S'hand at the moment is incredible. Any recommendations of who to speak to about the R1?
  11. Spent a fair bit of time on this lately...Is this the best Tow-able Machine out there? Gets my vote every time. Just so sorted, proper bum etc ....also have access to one with full engcon which is so productive..?
  12. Coincidence...talking about Huddigs Mate in Sweden just sent me these. Them Swedes know how to make kit... Them tyres....?
  13. Has anyone had real experience with the Hydradig? Seemed a real game-changer until the Regs situation scuppered it. Crackers situation and they seem very scarce round here apart from the big projects. Suppose £60K plus doesn't help matters..
  14. That's a beut...pretty much my dream machine. Someone is enlightened...? except...this aint got a proper bum...?

  16. Interesting...just bear in mind the haulage costs for Lewis.?
  17. Now then...that is something else.??? what an awesome bit of kit, so versatile. Love their ducks in sweden! they sure seen the light when it comes to machines...a machine WITHOUT a rotator is a rare sight.. Back to the smaller machine chat though Eddie, been using a new KX027 with Engcon setup, what a lovely bit of kit. and just about towable...? Engcon is the way forward...their buckets are just ..??
  18. Love the Hydradig concept, glad JCB doing something different and at leats its a UK company just a shame they cant come up with a decent 2.7Tish #towablewithalttacmentnts all rounder machine. Presume Telehandler like Merlo is covered by different legislation? lot round us with hitches etc. At Grass time we see some interesting road trains...?
  19. Hmm like a few things, cant help thinking we are missing something when you go to europe.. Said it before but in sweden etc a machine WITHOUT a rotator is a rare sight.. and as for swedish pattern buckets...?
  20. Wow that looks interesting! Bit of a coincidence but I was in germany last week and saw 2 big Sennebogen with high lift cabs and very LONG booms with flails doing verge clearance on the A4 south of Cologne. Wish I'd got a picture as they looked very impressive and productive.
  21. Looks legit to me as well. i make it about 125 bales..?
  22. a contender? https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6459765165503062016 and some folk moan about been stuck behind a single trailer..
  23. update....eventually. Went for Air source Boiler. £12K Install with approx £10.5K payback from RHI so no brainer and no faffing with pellets.. had it insatlled a little while now with a fair bit of typical lancashire weather.. and its coping OK. And of course our trusty Stove.. if only they can sort a way of getting RHI from a standard Logburner...
