  1. i predict some more responses to this thread especially later this evening... Let it roll Joel you're onto a winner.
  2. bit of a derail Eggs but sometimes there's a lane closure for just road sweeping etc and you think why on earth did they do that on a busy night and not wait longer. is there always a traffic count? Just interested.
  3. Now this is quite an intriguing thread...to say the least. Ive never worked the Railways but I'm often out early at weekends and live next to the WCML access points and noticed the hoards of white vans and orange coated masses...and wondered what they were doing sitting in their vans...now I know..."Working". Cheers for the insight and an indication for the ridiculous price of fares and total disregard for the customer service by all Rail companies in general.
  4. Deputy First Minister McGuinness to resign - BBC News wellwellwell
  5. My two pennyworth. Had general Grabbers AT's a few times but found sidewalls a bit weak and they dont like lakeland slate...... )-: BUT they do cover a large range of sizes which is handy. So gone back to BFG AT KO2 and they do what they say on the tin and seem quiet as well. really are a reliable tyre just look at ll the Mountain Rescue teams etc who have used em for years round here.
  6. good one that and yes some would agree..
  7. EH? whats not to like about em? all the lads round here have them plastered all over their machines. I never looked back since leds arrived. yes you need the correct pattern and you get what you paid for but i'm intrigued.
  8. Aha I thought it looked a beast as I approached it compared to all the other kit that's littering the side of the M1. Laid out with all its Swiss army knife attachments! Proper show off! And why not! Lol
  9. Went past in a hurry but did I see it parked up on the M1 site just north of Watford gap today Eddie? Just caught a glance.
  10. https://www.firstfour.co.uk/item/811836/gp1600-hand-winch-with-wire-rope Bought one of these last year. Great little winch I'd be surprised if you didn't use it once its part of the "armoury":thumbup1:
  11. you dont need to... but they were lads I work with, and we had a discussion on various points such as exchange rates, cheap flights, etc etc. Things that actually could affect the "man on the coalface" what do you make of this then: According to @GoogleTrends, “What is the EU?” was the second top UK question on the EU since the #EURefResults were officially announced. The first was, “What does it mean to leave the EU?” Clearly millions of Britons voted with their hearts and not their heads. I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions. I'll get me coat..
  12. Back to Logs.... IMO it will surely have an impact on the imported stuff... From Thursday nights- 1.3 to the quid and now at 1.2 that's gotta have an impact in a relatively low margin product? I'm all for remain but i see this as positive.. (-: (I'm trying hard here...not to be in a grump!)
  13. this simple quote says it all for me... too true. simply my two pence is "be carefull what you wish for" this will NOT just blow over. When prices go up on all sorts of stuff, lets see if all the keen "leavers" are quite so keen. the amount of folk who voted out today who Ive heard "say oh Shucks i never thought of that..." has anyone else heard this said today..?
  14. am i the only one that cant see the attraction of camping in a flooded field:confused1: and queeing for 12 hours to get in..
  15. love caravans...especially when spread like cardboard all over the M6... or those sodding great hymer boats being navigated..(well you cant call it steered) by fred and marge on their retirement cruise round the lakes at 15mph... rant over.. its that time of year again up here..
  16. just thinking over my B+E test...not once did they mention anything about snaking that i can remember plenty about driving economically though... did say load should be loaded slight forward of wheels ideally.
