  1. I disagree. The correction of the unfortunate phrasing and subsequent explanations of a 'cord' of wood are helpful to those unsure of the terminology IMHO. That is what this board is about!
  2. Rotatech chains
  3. Lovely job. Gonna need a bigger log now ;)
  4. Excellent work. :)
  5. What about the subject website Rob? Does it work on there?
  6. Are you able to load it?
  7. Nice one Ian. I find they get more appreciated than bought presents (except tools to some). They have won me a few brownie points in the past! :)
  8. Ditto
  9. I use one daily. Good piece of kit.
  10. Excellent work Ian, although from that angle the tail looks like something else!;-)
  11. m3 is the accepted abbreviation

  16. Nicely done
  17. Not the easiest of locations for a carve, well done.
  18. Nice one Shaun
  19. I've been well impressed Dry times for me were good, but that's on green timber.
  20. Google Ian Wallace Craft Insurance. Many of the chainsaw carvers doing shows use them and they are reasonable.
  21. Nice Si, better than mine! Mine tend to look like...... I'll leave an explaination, use your imagination! ;)
  22. ECHO CS281-WES WITH 1/4" DRIVE SPROCKET - SUPERB CARVING SAW FOR THE HOME AND PROFESSIONAL ALIKE. BUY THE SAW AND BUY SOME BARS! - Sugihara Guide Bars
  23. Not a top handle, but my 280 WES took about three months of regular (daily) carving to reach it's full potential.
  24. Practice some shapes first. Hence Woodcrafter's suggestion of mushrooms. It won't be a waste of wood, 'cause they'll always sell. Waiting for inspiration doesn't work. You need saw, wood and gat on with it, the inspiration will come, sometimes part way through the log
