    Safety helmet

I've had most hats apart from the Protos. Petzl vertex vent = very good, comfortable and reliable. 7/10 Kask = nice looking hat and comfy but it falls apart very easily. Even if you glue the ear defenders on they end up snapping. Also it stinks after just a few outings. 5/10 CT climbing helmet. = A really excellent hat. Good adjustment, very comfortable, doesn't smell even after 6 months regular use. Solid fixtures and looks great as well. 9/10 Hope this is helpful. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. Our 441 is the very last saw to get used out of the lot. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  15. Another for the 560 here. I've had a couple of 261's but I would pick up the 560 (18" bar) every time. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. At last, someone with the courage to tell it like it is. Thanks for sharing it. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Yep... that would rip on a 13" bar. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. And therein lies the problem. Islam in its purest form is not , despite what people say, an ideology of peace and tolerance. Just look at the countries that practice Sharia law. Until governments are willing to grasp this uncomfortable truth , the people they have a responsibility to protect will always be left vulnerable. Sad but true. 19. I read today that 72 people serving sentences for terrorist crimes were released into society last year in the UK. Given the stakes involved anyone convicted of terrorist offences should forfeit their right to live in society..... end of! We should look at what is happening to French cities and society as a cautionary tale. They are just a bit further down the same road that we are heading down. I think that it is high time that Islam was shown some "tough love" in this country. You would think that the government would wake up and realise it's time to end the appeasement and excuses and take some proper steps to address the unfolding situation head on. 24. Still think the most hazardous part of my job is the M42 , A38 or the Coventry ring road on the way to climb and cut trees. Seriously though, I think complacency is the killer that creeps up on you. You don't suddenly become complacent, it happens gradually and then coupled with bad practice that has become a habit, you have a recipe for disaster. Poor work position, fatigue and rushing to get the job done late in the day are all components of accidents. It's usually when two or more of these things combine that disaster strikes. Perhaps a component built into the saw courses on "the anatomy of a chainsaw accident" taught to candidates might guard against future bad practice and complacency. It would be an uncomfortable and unpleasant part of the course for sure but if it saved lives it would be worth it. Personally I think the safety features in modern top handled saws are very good. I think tip guards are the ARB equivalent of the old proposal to fit leg protectors to all motorcycles (if anyone remembers that) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. Done. I can't imagine having to work with a tip guard..... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
