  1. Wheels within Wheels. Ezekiel 1:16 Timon.
  2. Interesting piece. If it's true then all it means is, that we are leaving Europe the very same way we were conned into joining it! [emoji33] Timon.
  3. How dare you suggest that the "poor" should squander the booze/drugs/fags money on groceries!!!' Timon.
  4. I take your point, especially seeings as I have Jewish ancestry. Le Pen certainly wouldn't be my ideal candidate. However, I am concerned at the spread of Islamic ideologies in the west. Try googling what is happening to Christians in the Middle East and ask yourself if you would like to see that spreading over here? Whether you hold to Christian ideals or not, it is hard to deny that western society as a whole hasn't benefitted from the historic influence of the Christian social gospel. Schools, hospitals, religious freedom. Social justice. Etc.. The culture of charities in this country owes a lot of its heritage to Christianity. Admittedly, Christianity has had its problems and abuses over the centuries but on the whole it has played a large part in shaping western society in a positive way. The gradual spread of Islam in the west with its ideologies infiltrating government and law making, is slowly changing. For example, Christian assemblies are banned in most schools yet halal meat is becoming compulsory in many. This country is changing and not for the better. As a practising Christian myself, I see more and more restrictions placed on those who want to live by their Christian faith in order to accommodate an ideology that is really intolerant and repressive in the extreme. Christians in this country haven't experienced true persecution, but the way things are going it's in the post. To answer your question, Mark, I'm not a fan of LePen. But neither candidate really floats my boat really. I just see her, oddly enough as the lesser of two weevils. Timon.
  5. Very sad news. Our thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones. Timon and Lynne Timon.
  6. Meanwhile in France, https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10310/emmanuel-macron-islamism Timon.
  7. Macron called Brexit "a crime" and has promised to his bit to punish Britain with harsh consequences for daring to leave the EU. Not much to celebrate there then. Timon.
  8. The best in ear defenders I have used are the Boots muffles wax ear plugs. They seem to block the most noise out and are super comfy and just a couple of quid for a few pairs. Also they don't chafe your ears like the foam ones can. Timon.
  9. Oh! Contraire! I find it brings much needed comedy to British Politics. It's all harmless fun, really. 🤡 Of course, if they actually had any slight chance of getting elected then it would be more concerning. But as it stands it provides an amusing sideshow. [emoji38]🤡[emoji84][emoji106][emoji122] Timon.
  10. One handing the saw as well.,,, Timon.
  11. To Susan Edwards and her guide dog: "Do you know, they have eating dogs for anorexics now". [emoji38] Timon.
  12. Shame.... he came out with with some "classics" in his time. [emoji850][emoji850] Timon.
  13. Whatever you do, don't keep re-applying antiseptic creams. They can end up "feeding" the necrotising bacteria. Like Stubby says, get to the doctors. Hope you heal up quick. Timon.
  14. No surprises there then. Timon.
  15. Looks like nice gear. Only down the road from where I was born. [emoji106] Timon.
  16. The EN 1891-A is the correct standard for Arb work PPE. Do you know the name of the manufacturer and does it have a CE mark? Date of manufacture/first use is also important to know. I would definitely want to be sure of the manufacturer as everything gets copied these days and just because something has a "label" with a spec list on it, doesn't necessarily mean it's genuine. Hope this is helpful. Timon.
  17. How would you try to sort the problem out? Timon.
  18. Bomb who less frequently? (Hard to sort out the worlds problems from the comfort of a bank holiday sofa) I think if you are going to get involved in a war then you have to have a decent strategy, only Russia seems to have a clear objective in this case. Arming and training Islamic extremists out of convenience has shown itself to be a poor strategy over the decades and it has come back to bite us more than once. Just using air strikes is of limited effectiveness on its own. Hard to get support for a full blown war since Tony Blair (mis)lead us into Iraq. When the allies took on nazi Germany they were fully committed to the comprehensive defeat of the nazis and committed to the rebuilding of Germany . Understandably no one has the stomach for that level of military commitment anymore. One of the biggest failings in this whole sorry saga has to be the ineffectiveness of the UN. The UN is totally impotent and seems to be distracted into spending all its energies trying to further persecute Israel, the only true democracy in the Middle East. Personally, I think that European borders should be reinstated (they were never removed with the intention of mass migration ) In my honest opinion...The UN should get its act together and create well protected and adequately resourced safe zones in the Middle East. Then look at who should be supported in governing the region. People migrate because they have lost hope and who can blame them. Timon.
  19. Good post. It is a shame that more isn't being done to create incentives to stay and re-build or stay and develop the countries that people are fleeing from. If mass migration was halted then people (government, aid agencies, NGO's and community groups) would have more incentive to improve the places they live in. At this rate there won't be anyone left in these places except those who are too poor to leave. The only people left will be the poor, uneducated and the unskilled. Timon.
  20. Nice work. How did you hang the gate on the concrete posts? Timon.
  21. I suffer from the year round variant, rhinitis. Before I found a way of treating it, it was miserable. Nose running like a tap, red itching eyes and a raspy cough. (Think it might be a dust mite allergy). I tried loratadine which didn't touch it, then I tried Cetirizine which is really effective. I take one at bedtime so any drowsiness will work in my favour. Timon.
  22. Especially in regards to the wire gate climbing caribiners. [emoji848] Timon.
