  1. Things are looking up already! 100./' pay rise [emoji106] Timon.
  2. I read today that it costs £54.1 billion to provide pensions for EU officials. Someone's been having a right laugh (at the taxpayers expense) How on earth does this sort of thing get approved?? My state pension will be worth £70 per week when I finally retire at 68 [emoji107] Timon.
  3. If it's a start up tipper, you may want to look at the old shape LDV. You can still get 54 plate ones that aren't too bad. (If you get 2-3 years out of one and establish your business you're doing well) They carry more weight (legally) than a transit and parts are more often cheaper to buy and run Same Duratorq engine as the tranny on later models. Even transits that are complete bangers seem to fetch stupid money. Also this is the most expensive time of year to buy a 3.5t tipper all the "seasonal" teams are starting up round about now and they are all looking for trucks. Timon.
  4. Our idyllic way of life is under threat! Timon.
  5. Sadly the British Government (read taxpayer) spends a lot of people's hard earned money on funding this sort of thing. [emoji107][emoji107] http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2279972/Anjem-Choudary-Hate-preacher-pocketing-25-000-year-benefits-calls-fanatics-live-state.html Timon.
  6. Birmingham is getting more and more segregated. https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10190/islam-england-france Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  7. Don't discount the petrol ones. We've got a 51 plate Forrester. It's been faultless. We've always tried to go the diesel route but after much disappointment (never quite as cheap as they are meant to be) we thought we'd give a reputable Japanese petrol a try and haven't looked back. Some of the 2.0l petrols do 500k plus. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  8. TIMON

    App crashing?

Still crashing..., Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  9. You mean a bit like Question Time??? 🤡[emoji84][emoji89]👮*♀️👩*[emoji310]👩*[emoji538] Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  10. I did my climbing tickets at 48. I'm not what you would call super fit but I do ok and really enjoy it. I say go for it. [emoji106] Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  11. That's not his mother it's his wife [emoji57] Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  12. Words like that trip so easily off the tongue from the comfort and safety of a British armchair...... Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  13. Obama gifted Iran hundreds of billions of dollars and nukes. He looked the other way when it came to Assad, Russia and North Korea. What or who did he hit with his 72 bombs per day and what did he actually achieve? He also threw Israel under the bus at the UN. Even his own people lament the fact that his lack of coherent foreign policy is much to blame for the increased instability in the region. At least Trump is making an effort. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  14. I'm not Trumps biggest fan but at least he's not suffering from the hand wringing moral paralysis of Obama which is one of the reasons why things have gotten so bad. At least he's trying to do something. It might be worth considering that he's not killing people because they won't convert to Christianity. He's at least trying to bring about some much needed order to a very sick and out of control world. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  15. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Bonhoeffer was a man of peace but came to realise that he had to stand up to the evil of Hitler and the nazis. He wasn't using violence to promote his own religious beliefs. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  16. Strawberry Sunday.... Vauxhall bridge Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  17. Maybe it really is too late to turn the tide..... everyone's already drunk the cool aid [emoji33] https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10208/europe-afghanistan Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  18. It's remarkable how few people are outraged by it. Surely we wouldn't name our primary schools after the 7/11 terrorists would we? Or would we... it's getting hard to tell. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  19. What? Support people who teach genocide to their kids in the classroom... c'mon Huck, you know me better than that! The Palestinian "cause" has to be one of the biggest red herrings in modern history. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  20. Or this...,.. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  21. Or put another way..... Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  22. Standing by and doing nothing while evil unfolds around you can hardly be the right thing to do. Bonhoeffer understood this principle when he took on the nazis'. History records that he was a great man, of great spirituality and integrity. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  23. Although the people that run the door security and the drugs (usually one and the same) are not really that pleasant and "loved up" when you look a little closer. [emoji41] Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  24. I totally agree with you on that score. However I do think that sometimes the "spiritual" thing to do is to stand and fight evil when it is necessary. Singing "cum by yah" round the camp fire is great at its appropriate time. Dietrich Bonhoeffer is a good example of a Christian who stood and fought for what was right. Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
  25. That's a shame, they'd think the world of you..,,, Timon "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose"
