  1. In a similar vein...... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Excellent work, with a unique style. Very impressive [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Pretty spectacular derail on this thread (I admit my part in it). [emoji850] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Realistic pricing. Everyone wants/needs their kit LOLERED, and loves it when they can get it done for £35 but how long is that guy going to be in business? How many tree surgeons would pack a truck full of kit and turn up on site to do a job for £35 ? Not so many I think.... and more to the point, how many would still be in business a year later? Good honest post[emoji106][emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Good point Mr J. Thanks to the hidden agendas at the UN we "swallow camels and strain at gnats". No where is this more evident than Africa. £££millions get spent on censuring Israel on settlements, meanwhile millions of people are starving to death. 6. I lost the splice ages ago when the rope got frayed. Just use a bowline and stopper as a termination now. Zigzag grips and releases well on the single line but it obviously puts a lot more strain on it. I'd only use it to descend in an emergency. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. I wondered if any one would spot it. Bowline and Krab (gate always on the upper side) chokered back onto the mainline. In the event of having to get down quick it becomes an SRT escape line. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. Couple pics from a medium sized (50') Eucalyptus. Just about every branch had to be lowered due to multiple targets. Made a brash mat and cut n chucked the stem. Very slippery in the wet. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. That looks like relegated tag line/lowering rope to me.... [emoji57][emoji850] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Personally, I think that's too cheap. On the other end of the spectrum I heard there is a firm out there (insisted upon by certain insurance companies) that charge £10 per karibiner! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Old and full of years.... will be sadly missed. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. Otter box. Accidentally ran over my iPhone in the car. Otter box got a bit crushed but the phone was 100% ok [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Haha... before, but (honestly) moved over 6 inches once the gob went in. Very astute Joe! Is that experience talking? [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Thanks mate. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Having trouble putting photos up tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Removal of a medium sized ash. Nothing special except the neighbours had parked a £35k Merc underneath and gone out. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Bet that smelt nice [emoji21] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Versatile machine... bet it ain't cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. Enjoyed watching that. Good skills! Do you work to Russian industry standard or did you learn elsewhere? [emoji106][emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. I like it Eggs. Nice dose of reality there, but remember. Life is never hopeless [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Forgot to say "Nice work Matty" big pieces. I think I would have gone back to the yard for a bigger saw too. Those kind of cuts are definitely not for the feint hearted. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. Tree work culture in southern Spain is a totally different ball game. They just hack at stuff and it grows back (mostly). Chippers are non existent. Given that and the problems with the economy no one seems to be interested in paying for arbs. For the most part, the farmers look after their own olive, lemon and orange trees with hand saws which is the closest it gets to anything of an industry standard. Perhaps the municipal trees get looked after but it doesn't seem to be anything like in the U.K. I got the opportunity to do it because our international Director loves trees and hates it when they get hacked. The nice thing is they have just planted 160 trees where I was working. It takes them a full 2 days to water them all [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. It was round about 40cc... it was a case of just getting on with it as there was no way of getting anything bigger. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Thanks Don. When I got there and looked at the saw I laughed. It coped surprisingly well. It was right at the limit though. That was the biggest saw available. Not that many trees to take down in the south.. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Ride on mower

I've always found domestic/light commercial ride on mowers a disappointment. We have just under an acre and we have a walk behind Ferris with a 36" deck. Does the job better than a ride on imo. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
