  1. Unusual work. Great shots. Beats the stinking connie reductions [emoji106] Timon.
  2. That has got to be the lamest excuse for a tune I've heard in a long time. Regardless of the politics Timon.
  3. Obama was very polished when it came to using his mouth. Trouble is, it's more than just talk that is needed from politicians. Timon.
  4. I think it's very relevant. After all the same sort of thing is now happening in this country. Timon.
  5. It was so good to see Corbyn come out and condemn last weekends massacre of 52 Coptic Christians in Egypt..,,,,, Oh wait....... [emoji849] Timon.
  6. And Hamas and Hezbollah. Not to mention PIE [emoji107] Timon.
  7. Is he any relation to Brian by any chance? Monty Python has a lot to answer for if it's true....... Timon.
  8. In fact most suicide bombers are not actually what you would call "pious" islamists, rather, they tend to be just pathetic insecure delinquents trying to find some twisted way of becoming someone. The real evil ones are the filthy scumbags who teach radical Islam and put them up to it. A lot of it started with this charming gentleman. http://www.thetower.org/article/how-the-mufti-of-jerusalem-created-the-permanent-problem-of-palestinian-violence/ Timon.
  9. 🤣🤣🤣 Timon.
  10. Cool video. Action packed with some big lumps letting go. Really enjoyable. [emoji106] Timon.
  11. If only we could convince the would be jihadi gangster of this. Paradise would lose some of its appeal for sure. Timon.
  12. Sounds like a good set up and solution Rich. Got any pics? Thanks Timon.
  13. I love a good debate but this one is going round and round. I'm getting dizzy now....Everyone seems to be getting distracted by the immigration/racism argument. The real issue is the fact that British Muslims are getting radicalised in BRITAIN! How's about we, move the discussion on and use our collective wisdom to start suggesting some positive solutions to a problem that is already here in the UK? Timon.
  14. Never had the pleasure of meeting him. Very sad. Condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP Timon.
  15. [emoji106][emoji106]... Timon.
  16. Thanks Mark! [emoji106][emoji106] Timon.
  17. Can't get the videos to play, the app keeps crashing and won't send the crash reports.... grrr. Looking at this video brought it home to me how much stick we give our rigging kit as most of the time the tree is the strongest link in the system. When I LOLER people's kit I often wonder "how many times has this gear been taken past its SWL?" I can't tell by checking it... How many of us know the SWL of our weakest link in our rigging kit? or the different configurations (and stay below it?) Fair play to you for posting this, it's given me a lot to think about. Thanks [emoji106] Timon.
  18. I can understand the concerns over this issue. I don't know the stats but it's plain to see that this thread has seen the most traffic. Irrespective of the subject matter, if I was a stakeholder in this forum I would have concerns about whether this is detracting from the main purpose of the forum. I also know of one member who told me he rarely posts pictures of his work anymore as he finds that a lot of people just want to pick it to pieces, which is a real shame as it would be a valuable contribution. I'm not trying to be unduly critical of an excellent forum and industry resource but I say this because the "lounge" issue isn't the only thing that puts people off Arbtalk. I remember when I was new to it a small number of people were sometimes quite unkind to me, because of my beliefs, but, hey ho.., Perhaps a solution to the lounge political/religion threads attracting people who come along to" grind axes" that never get used on trees, would be to not allow "members" into the lounge until they had earned their entry by virtue of a reasonable amount of participation and contribution on the Arb-related areas of the forum. Steve... you need harder bouncers at the lounge mate.... (sorry, couldn't resist) [emoji106][emoji846] Timon.
  19. Yes Abraham on mount Moriah. He was stopped from sacrificing Isaac at the last minute. God provided a substitute. A substitute..,,, you are very correct. [emoji106] Timon.
  20. In short, Jesus is the real deal because of his resurrection (and the fact that it is possible to experience his resurrection life right now and enter into a living relationship with him) No other religion offers this. Timon.
  21. Good evening Graham [emoji106] There are no passages in The Bible that glorify child sacrifice. The "genocide" instructions you refer to were specifically for a certain time in history to rid society of a people group (in the Middle East strangely enough!) who were steeped in devil worship and child sacrifice. As you have pointed out mate, The Bible as the inspired word of God IS an amazing book and I and many others have found it to be truly life changing. The thing is, it deals with things like evil, the inherent sinfulness of man and the realities of living in a very messed up world. It's not a fluffy bedtime read for sure. Shalom! Timon.
  22. Good post Mark. [emoji106] Timon.
  23. Don't agree with you..... Christianity only really effects change when taken on a personal level. For example, as an individual, if we try to live out Christian values in our own personal lives. Loving our neighbour Helping the widow Feeding the orphan Protecting the weak and vulnerable Putting others first etc.. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you etc. It changes our lives on a personal level but has a positive impact on those around us. You can't impose faith or belief on people or society as a legislation. "Human Rights" when applied in the ECHR sense collectively across society has had some really negative consequences. The "rights" of the individual takes precedence over the greater good and safety of society. You only have to look at the fiascos of Abu Hamza, Anhem Chowduray et all, and countless number of criminals who we have not been able to deport or lock up because of the twisted rulings from the ECHR. Human Rights should be applied so that the greater good of society takes precedence over the individual. Timon.
  24. How ironic that you would attribute clarity and reason to a Muslim, albeit a moderate one. [emoji848] Timon.
  25. Winston Churchill warned against the negative impact of Islam. It's a bit late now, it's already happened. Reversing its consequences in this country is going to be a bit like trying to squeeze toothpaste back into the tube. I think it's quite tragic listening to people who still want to defend it as if it's a good thing. Timon.
