  1. Definitely this. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. A good climber will have the measure of how quick the ground crew is and be able to dictate the optimum pace to keep the flow rate going without burning everyone out. Timon.
  2. With some kind of disclaimer too.... The problem here I think is that the plastic turf companies insist on a complete relay in the event of damage occurring. One careless misplacement of a saw/ hedge cutter or fuel spillage can easily result in a bill for a few thousand£££. I'll certainly be wary in future. Timon.
  3. Halfway through this among others. Timon.
  4. Really gutted for you and I definitely feel your pain. We did exactly the same thing last year but with hedge cutters. Ended up putting it on the insurance. I think ours was a fair bit more than that too. Lazy lawn if I remember right. They insisted in.a complete re-lay Moral of the story? Never trust a man with plastic grass! Or the people that install it. The company that supplied it wouldn't let us install it ourselves, they insisted on using their own people even though our landscaping crew have done loads of them. [emoji107] Timon.
  5. Trump secures a ceasefire in Syria. Putin says he's different than on TV. Surely CNN wouldn't tell lies would they? [emoji79] Timon.
  6. [emoji106][emoji106] It's a shame that more politicians cant grasp the concept of servant leadership. Timon.
  7. Wouldn't happen to include their own team by any chance? [emoji849] Timon.
  8. I get 25p per mile for just using my car for work so I would think that around 40p per mile for a working truck sounds about right. Timon.
  9. Mine always start with Hhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ttiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Howewwews it going mate ! [emoji846] Timon.
  10. Yep... gutted I read this post. I was blissfully unaware of mine until just now. Been using saws almost daily for ten years and play drums 2-3 times a week with in ear monitors to hear the other instruments in the drum booth. I've been thinking about getting a pair of custom made musicians earplugs. They only cut out specific noise frequencies so that you can still hear but they remove the harmful noise. Very expensive though. Timon.
  11. Fair comment [emoji106] Timon.
  12. "We all know". ? Really. Do we? If you look at the bigger picture, maybe, just maybe, this kid gets his miracle and if not his journey, however it ends may help others win their battle. Once again the ECHR completes another box ticking exercise, at the expense of others. Timon.
  13. Whether they uphold a decision or overrule a decision, they don't have much of a track record. Maybe it's only the bad decisions that get highlighted but the fact remains that they have upheld a decision that prevents parents fighting for the life of their precious child. Timon.
  14. Agree with you Eggs. I guess the reason I feel so strongly about this is cos Lynne and I weren't able to have kids. When I hear of the absurdity of some of the rulings of the ECHR, it makes me glad we're finally getting out of Europe, Timon.
  15. Disgusted to read that it was the European Court of Human Rights that ruled that baby Charlie Gard's life support be turned off. [emoji107]Looks like Trump wants to intervene now... good on him. [emoji106] Timon.
  16. Thanks for posting this Timon.
  17. That's me! It was a bag of cider. Lovely stuff. Haha... looked like something else in the photo. Timon.
  18. I suppose that depends on what your understanding of vulnerable is.... According to the previous labour government (11 years ago) I was classed as "vulnerable" I was a career addict supported VERY generously by the state £330 pw. + a rent paid for flat, drug worker, Massive prescription, etc...etc....etc.... Believe me, I was anything but vulnerable...... Timon.
  19. I agree with you Bob. I just think that the way that the Tories left themselves wide open to criticism that makes it look like they are targeting the most vulnerable in society was very naive. Surely they should be able to explain themselves and their policies with a bit more skill? This country desperately needs to get its finances sorted and priorities in order, everyone (except Corbyn) knows that. Foreign Aid administration/wages costs rising by 40% is a case in point. Timon.
  20. Perhaps May should take some "shape shifting" lessons. Might come in handy with the campaigning. Corbyn seems to be getting the hang of it quite nicely. Timon.
  21. I just read that the guy who wrote the disastrous Tory election manifesto was so confident of its contents (and so was everyone else) that no one read it until the day before it went public. Apparently there wasn't much public appetite for means testing pensioners winter fuel allowance. You couldn't make this stuff up.... Timon.
  22. [ATTACH]222002[/ATTACH] See you at the top mate! Though i'll be on the water this time[emoji6] Looks like lots of fun Paul, but whys that guy drinking from a catheter?? [emoji13] Timon.
  23. Jeremy Corbyn marches on parliament to demand to become PM because he won the election.. Lots of other people think he won too...., So 55 seats less than the Tories is winning? Now I'm not very good at maths but............ This is becoming absurd, even by Jeremy's standards. [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849] Timon.
  24. It's some time since I ingested anything at Glastonbury. Mucky bushrooms were the order of the day. It's not my kind of place mate, I prefer smaller gigs. Here's a satirical article about Michael Gove: Michael Gove rushed into A&E after being accidentally sprinkled with salt | The Evening Haröld Haha! If I was still into all that, one look at Corbyn would have had me screaming for the "bad trip ambulance" [emoji79][emoji33][emoji89][emoji48][emoji265][emoji266] Timon.
  25. Nice Jonny!! Holding her own there nicely [emoji106] Timon.
