  1. Same here. U1250ag. Reg as AG vehicle. We do 6 weekly checks and run it on white. Winch on front pto chipper on rear. Mainly domestic arb but some roadside trees and hedges. Very grey area. We are considering re-registering it as "road" because we don't want to fall foul of VOSA etc... We have an LDV with TW150 as separate/combined team . The mog set up is far more productive. Think threads on this subject will always run and run and run......... I can understand people get narked when they invest in their businesses and play by the rules then have to compete with others who undercut by taking shortcuts. Timon
  2. We have a green mech 220 TMP . It really is a solid machine... Driven by a 125hp mog. Very user friendly... We would have no hesitation in getting another.
  3. Mine too! I'll get all of our lads to sign as well.....
  4. Nice one Reg...... Look fwd to the video.
  5. Did you have to stop and sharpen your chain half way through... What saws did you use?
  6. Looks like you've got the same weather as us, Reg. 7 hours standing on spikes sounds well sore. Never seen the vertical "slices" done before. Thanks, Timon
  7. Sorry..... Couldn't resist that.
  8. A giant panda????
  9. I started at 48, I'm 49 now and love it!... Never let anyone tell you you're too young/old
  10. Hi Jon ... Persisting down now in Brum. The kind of rain that gets you wet, like. Thanks, Timon
  11. That is basically what I meant by the special discs. I'm not trying to teach granny to suck eggs I've done a fair amount of fencing and often wished I had bought one of these when I've had to smash out roots by hand with a pole and chisel thingy. Worth digging a bigger hole to access the root with the disc IMO. The disc I referred to cuts rather than grinds but it is VERY chunky so it cuts a lot of material out at one time and unlike chainsaw chains doesn't go blunt straight away. Thanks, Timon
  12. Czech or Pole or mattock?
  13. There are discs available for Stihl saw (Disc cutter) designed for cutting sleepers with nails and roots in soil. Etc.. 9" 12" & 16" available. I think the big ones are around £120. Travis perkins stock them, among others. Hope this helps. Timon
  14. Hi Rob, Good to hear from you.. We're enjoying it while it lasts mate.. We lost a big job last week due to the winds. Couldn't re-book it soon enough for the customer (our diary is packed til Christmas ) so she went with someone else. Cheers, Timon

    Happy days

Same story here too.... Reduced and thinned out cedar. Removed a leylandi and pollarded 2 ash trees. Everyone worked really well together and we had a good laugh as well. Happy days!
  16. Really beautiful autumn day here in West Mids.
  17. Nice work Steve. Very pretty indeed.
  18. And me! But only when the husky bar that came with it has earned a replacement......
  19. Agreed... And what agenda the programme makers have. We had a newspaper article done on one of our rehab centres and they stitched us right up.... We did an interview and showed them round in good faith. The article showed us in a very poor light.. Needless to say, we're very careful these days. Thanks, Timon
  20. That's right.... Respect.
  21. Nice one Jon . That's good to know. I thought they would be loads more. Thanks, Timon
  22. Well done mate..... As a wise man once said: " never despise the day of small beginnings "
  23. Is the price "Ferrari v wheelbarrow" ?
  24. By original I meant the husky 18" that came with the saw.. Thanks
  25. Sounds like you have a fair idea of the market..... Really loving the 560.. Was on 346xp and Stihl 261 before. Are sugihara at lot dearer?? Thanks
