  2. Nice job.....
  3. Life is good for me too..... And come July I'll be able to legitimately post on this thread..... Can't wait
  4. The Stihl trainer told me that you can send in your old 201 for a free upgrade at a dealer (obviously Stihl recognise that it wasn't the saw it should have been) new carb, exhaust and ignition I think.
  5. I bought a new T540 xp this summer, I was a bit concerned about the problems others had experienced with the AV spring breaking etc... I have to say it is excellent. Very quick in the cut, gutsy little saw. Really glad I got it now. On the down side it is a little temperamental when cold or cooling down but once it is warm it is great. I did read on here it's worth replacing the AV spring regularly. I used a 201 previously and I much prefer the husky, there's no comparison.
  6. Hi Jon , damp, cold and grey here in Brum mate. Almost glad to be in the office today.......

    Many happy returns Stubby.....
  8. We get these from time to time... I always take photos of them and their van and reg plate, and make sure that they know I have. We have a metal skip on one of our yards and it seems to attract them.
  9. Hi Jon ... It's minus 3c here in Coventry. Crisp and dry, Timon
  10. I saw a knackered transit flare side chugging up the road in a cloud of blue smoke.. Does that count as a pick up?
  11. Beautiful winters morning in Brum Jon 0c. Should be good for the log sales now mate.
  12. 18" on mine. Saw is only 6 months old. Really excellent saw.
  13. Been thru the same thing..... Back on husky defenders.. Much better. Stronger and comfy
  14. What are the benefits of an 8 tooth sprocket over the stock item?
  15. I'm 49 climb a couple of times a week plenty left in the tank (I only did my tickets 12 months ago) surprisingly I'm getting quicker and stronger every climb..
  16. We get these from time to time. If it's a straight run through the house it's not much different to dragging out through a side passage in reality. We tell the customer to tape cardboard everywhere. We explain that we will do our best to be careful but the risk is theirs. Sheets on the floor are a waste of time, they just get kicked up. Cardboard is the best solution taped down. We keep the brash as big as possible and just pull it through. Providing they have done a good job with the tape it isn't a problem.
  17. Got the pm mate..... My alerts on this app aren't working. Thanks.
  18. Hi Jon .Tipping down in Coventry
  19. Westbrook agricultural supplies in Rudgwick.
  20. Now that the EU has given member states the go ahead to introduce GM crops and food etc.. I'm seriously considering a paleo diet. My wife is already on a paleo diet due to multiple food allergies she developed when living in the US (where GM has been used for many years) I'd love to hear from people on here who have made the switch to a paleo diet and what their experiences have been. And if you just want to have a rant against or for GM crops growing here that would be cool too!
  21. Yes TV really is that crap !!
