  1. I remember them well they were on Clay records. its all coming back now.... Johnny moped. Eater. Warsaw(who became Joy Division) The Damned (were always good live.) The Ruts P.I.L. UK Subs. Siouxie and the Banshees. Killing Joke ( lead singer Jaz Coleman is also composer in residence for the Prague symphony orchestra ) Iggy and the Stooges etc... Etc.... Nice to know that Punk's not dead
  2. Hi Jon .. Dry and calm here still in the midlands. Timon.
  3. Nice clips Reg, is that a 560xp on the first one? (And C4 on the second I presume!)
  4. We got rid of our double cab ( terminal engine fail and front end suspension knackered from being constantly erm.... Slightly overweight ) So we got a single cab transit (more payload) and a cheap berlingo. When we are getting towards the end of a job two climbers take the tools and small van and shoot of to start the next job.. It has surprised us how quick and efficient this method is compared to a double cab. Gives us a lot of versatility. Our firm now runs a mog and pto chipper. A transit single cab and timberwolf and a berlingo. A very versatile set up.
  5. Same here.. I swapped my (very smelly)Stein kask for a vertex vent and put husky ear defenders on it... The best combo I've tried so far... I tried the protos but I looked too much like a power ranger in it.....

    Bad dreams

Hi Stereo Well done... Very often when people stop taking drink and drugs there is a rebound/reaction that takes place. Because we don't experience the full range of our emotions when we drink or self medicate with drugs, once we stop there is a build up. After a while our emotions tend to "even out". Crazy dreams and mood swings are quite common among people in recovery. I gave up 20 years of chronic heroin addiction and have been totally clean for 8 years. Different poison I know but basically addiction is the same whatever the substance. I work for a large rehab charity working with recovering addicts so I have a fair bit of experience in these things. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Please PM me if you want a chat. All the best and keep up the good work! Timon

Have you read the book "eats shoots and leaves" ? It's about a panda that goes into a restaurant has a meal and then kills everyone before leaving. It's not really ...... It's about the correct use of punctuation. Eats, shoots and leaves. Careless use of comma's can kill.
  9. I think stubby is right. The sugihara is on the old Stihl. That's a husky bar on the 540xp.
  10. Great news .... Should get 4 months out of the stock techlite bar..
  11. So it was...... So when can we get one for the 540 ??????
  12. Got me thinking now .............. Maybe my memory is shot. (Too much techno )
  13. Reg Coates has a 540xp with a sugihara bar review video on you tube... Unless my memory is completely shot.........
  14. Once my 12" techlite bar has worn out I'm going to get a 14" sugihara. I've heard that this is a good option. Can't wait to try it.

    How right you are
  16. Agreed, they really look business like. Sets them apart from other trucks. That "Luton" type chip box looks like it can hold a fair bit of chip. Ours is an "urban" mog. It was either that or a seven 1/2 truck with a tow behind chipper... we'd never get one of them everywhere we need to get to.. The mog does it all!
  17. Ours is a U1250. Would that one fit?
  18. We got both of the above machines and they are both excellent machines for what they are . Our 220 is a pto model driven off a 1250 mog. 125hp doesn't drop a rev. This machine has really helped us drive our business forward now we have a second team. 220 is really well made. Very solid capable machine. Would definitely get another. Timon
  19. Reverse gearbox..... Sounds expensive
  20. N Hi Elliot got any tips for a front mount? Is AC price the best place to get the front links or would we better getting them made ? We have a guy with us who can make just about anything...tilting roof will use a tail lift motor off a Luton.
  21. That's a really useful chip box. We're going to be doing something similar with ours in the new year. Possibly an electric tilting roof. It's still in the design stage. But we're definitely putting the chipper on the front and a bigger box.
  22. Even with the standard bar (It's probably unfair to compare them because the husky is 10cc more, however it doesn't weigh that much more)
  23. We have both... The 560xp is the superior saw.
  24. I have heard Sailing gloves are meant to be pretty good... When I was younger I worked for a window cleaning firm (gloves didn't work in that application) . In the winter months our hands took a real battering always wet and full of detergent. Not nice. There were things we could do to help Iike don't touch metal ladders with your bare hands and always ask the customer for buckets of hot water to wash our gear in thereby helping keep warm. (Don't know how helpful that would be when doing treework) We used to use stuff from the chemist called snowfire. It didn't warm our hands up but it stopped them from splitting from the cold and detergent. You can also get those little hand warmers that release heat when you snap them. My mrs has Raynaud's and her mum bought her some special gloves of the internet. You should be able to get some to match your new climbing helmet
  25. Try J&K waste at Beoley they are part of S.Walker transport. They have just opened a new yard near Hollywood and take chip. You can google S.Walker transport at Branson's Cross Farm, Beoley. Ask for James or Natasha. Sorry I don't have the number to hand. Timon
