  1. 1.9 tdi engine. Be alright for carrying tools and doing quotes. I recon our lot would destroy it in an afternoon. Not exactly overpowered.
  2. Bad day at the office......
  3. Hi Elliot , I just drove it down there and they fitted them on the spot. Tyres took a fortnight to order. Excellent service. Timon
  4. I'm awaiting a reverser box for the front. One problem we have is fitting it in around the treework. Once I've got a reverser it will become a priority. Incidentally if anyone wants the contact for the tyre people give me a PM they were WELL cheap...
  5. New set of tyres fitted on our U1250AG today... Brand new continentals. And about time....
  6. Old unimog tyres..... Getting a new set of 4 tomorrow so we'll be using the old ones for this very purpose. Not quite as practical as Huck's trampoline though.....
  7. Thanks Mick! Timon

Just been given one of these by a customer... What do you guys think of this saw and what replaced it? What cc is it? Etc.. Thanks
  10. I'm taking mine for a posh Thai meal, Big bunch of flowers.... Etc. old school.. She deserves it for putting up with me!
  11. Chris.. Ours is a 1250AG with a GM220 9" chipper. 6 ton Boughton winch on the front. Our own mechanic does the checks and work on it.
  12. Chipper must have good lungs to blow the chip right to the back of the trailer! Useful tool.
  13. We have an O licence and run ours on white....,,. We had our tank dipped a couple of months ago by customs. Came out of nowhere while we were chipping.
  14. Insurance is no more than a seven 1/2. Fuel is a factor especially since a pto chipper will have to run on white diesel with the mog (no red diesel in a mog for arb). To be honest ours is quiet thirsty but again so is a lorry. We landed on our feet with ours and have only spent on routine maintenance. We just bought a set of 4 tyres (speed rated continentals for £1670) Parts are expensive, but isn't everything these days. We spent more keeping an LDV tipper on the road last last year before it finally died.
  15. Definitely the best move we ever made. (We do similar work). It's important to locate a good mechanic Agricultural , plant or HGV who isn't going to be scared of it. I find ours adapts very well to domestic arb. I wouldn't want to reverse a seven 1/2 truck and chipper up a back alley to get to the rear of a house. It's surprising where you can squeeze a mog. I would really hate to be without ours.
  16. Nice couple of mogs there Paul.
  17. No that was a different tree Our job yesterday. (Still need to go and finish it)
  18. Nice one Joe, Looking forward to giving SRT a go. Need to get e wrench or similar first though. Think I'll get some straps.....
  19. Same as Old Mill, waist dead tight and leg loops loose otherwise any kit you hang on it will pull it down to your ankles.... Am thinking of getting the shoulder straps for it. Has anyone on here tried them and are they any good?
  20. Was hoping to have it all on the deck and done today. But.... Oh well! Live and learn. To be honest I thought it would be like a big conifer....... Not quite We were going to strip it and fell the top half but the wind was too much. Oh well you win some.........
  21. I think everyone here would agree with you, Stephen. The fact that it's blowing a gale doesn't help either. Timon
  22. Strong gusts here now Jon. Timon
  23. Apart from the ivy.
  24. Today's job..... Ivy covered monkey puzzle to remove Rhino skin gloves all round. More pics to follow
  25. Hi Jon , brightening up here in Brum mate. Was heavy rain and hail. Timon
