  1. Eddy, published chain speeds are done at max power, not max rpm, anyway i think we have done this to death, so i shall not mention it again, thak you anyway for your input, by the way how do you know so much about the 576?
  2. I would go along with the impulse hose, if this has hardened it can just fall off, so no pump, leaning it forward would help the fuel through, have changed plenty of pulse hoses on 300 series saws.
  3. Yes i saw the 576 other than a lot of noise it was gutless, nice chrome pipe though, i always thought of porting as a black art, some good some bad, when ported the power band is changed so the full load cutting speed is surly going to be faster, and as chain speed is taken into account when choseing the class of trouser to wear this must become an issue, as for vibration pretty sure this will have increased, all sounds a little anal but it will only take one accident and the s t will hit the fan,how much faster can the operator honestly work with all this extra power? or is it just a matcho thing?
  4. Thank you for that, as long as the owners are aware of some of the negatives to this practice, there is an old American saying, there is no substitute for cubic inches. I guess as long as people are happy with this then carry on.
  5. I would be intrested to know what this porting does to the fuel consuption, longevity of the engine big end and side bearings, noise levels, emmisions, vibration, chain speed ( do they now need higher class trousers ) not knocking it just intrested.
  6. The 362XP was very popular in its day, as has been said it had the small bar pad and 3/8 chain as standard, it was a closed port cylinder, other than that is was much like a small 371/372 good secomd hand buy if you can find one.
  7. From my point of view, we need more service training on chainsaw service, chainsaws are now more complex and need proper maintenace, more than the operators can now do with the use of computers, most young people i see want to work on larger plant or vehicles, not small hand held machines

    Ride on mowers

If you are not collecting the grass then a zero turn mower will knock the grass down quicker than most machines. Husqvarna BZ 27 OR 34 turbo both diesel machines.
  9. Warranty is two years, if the stop switch spring is broken the switch will fall down and stop the engine, not up and put the choke on.
  10. Hold its value better! thats a matter of opinion
  11. A little confused, the 135 and 435 both have the same fuel tank and crankshaft, where did you get your info from??
  12. Husqvarna 135 great little saw, the only real difference between it and the 435 is the bar and chain combination, 135 on 3/8 050 gauge, and 435 on .325 050 gauge.
  13. By all means remove the sparl arrestor in the muffler, if it is blocked with carbon then there is your problem, if not you need to look else where, running rich would suggest there is no blockage in the carb or fuel system, flooding carb due to the needle leaking, or metering lever too high maybe, the ignition does have a built in govenor, is the air filter clean? as this will make it run rich, did the dealer plug the machine into the auto tune tool and check for fault codes? or update the software/
  14. A Mcilrath is the distributer for Husqvarna in N Ireland, give them a call they may have some ex demo or such like machines
  15. Just found the bullitin, fitted from 1998 week 50.
  16. As far as i remember it was end of 1999, time moves so quickly, it was then offered as a retro fit kit, i rebuilt plenty of these and the 338xpt absolutly loved them, that will spark a response.
  17. They say a bad workman always blames his tools.
  18. The T540 has a fairly simple oil pump, but very reliable, it is more likly the nylon gear driven by the sprocket has stripped, remove the clutch and sprocket and check the condition of the gear.
  19. We orderd 1/2 pallet of Aspen, it was very dark, i assumed it was oil guard for the Husqvarna K750/760 oil guard machine, i am sure i spoke to the factory about this who confirmed it was, oh well it could have been yet another senior moment, we were definetly told that the silly plastic sleeve around the can ( which falls off ) was to be changed for a proper decal, i know this sounds quite petty, but health and safty were not happy that the can was not clearly marked as to its contents.
  20. We had a batch with with oil guard oil in it two years ago.

    Could you help?

No fan of Stihl, however it sounds like ignition to me, i would be changing the unit.
  22. Eddie why did they stop useing the oil guard colourant?
  23. Unfotunalty not, but you should not be paying more than the list price, this is why dealers get a discount
  24. Open an account with Rochfords or Radmore and Tucker
  25. Not quite that simple, yes you can buy the auto tune tool, however you need acsess to the support site to update it, there is also some computer software you need to down load, not too sure you will be given the support site details.
