  1. From my point of view, we need more service training on chainsaw service, chainsaws are now more complex and need proper maintenace, more than the operators can now do with the use of computers, most young people i see want to work on larger plant or vehicles, not small hand held machines

    Ride on mowers

If you are not collecting the grass then a zero turn mower will knock the grass down quicker than most machines. Husqvarna BZ 27 OR 34 turbo both diesel machines.
  3. Warranty is two years, if the stop switch spring is broken the switch will fall down and stop the engine, not up and put the choke on.
  4. Hold its value better! thats a matter of opinion
  5. A little confused, the 135 and 435 both have the same fuel tank and crankshaft, where did you get your info from??
  6. Husqvarna 135 great little saw, the only real difference between it and the 435 is the bar and chain combination, 135 on 3/8 050 gauge, and 435 on .325 050 gauge.
  7. By all means remove the sparl arrestor in the muffler, if it is blocked with carbon then there is your problem, if not you need to look else where, running rich would suggest there is no blockage in the carb or fuel system, flooding carb due to the needle leaking, or metering lever too high maybe, the ignition does have a built in govenor, is the air filter clean? as this will make it run rich, did the dealer plug the machine into the auto tune tool and check for fault codes? or update the software/
  8. A Mcilrath is the distributer for Husqvarna in N Ireland, give them a call they may have some ex demo or such like machines
  9. Just found the bullitin, fitted from 1998 week 50.
  10. As far as i remember it was end of 1999, time moves so quickly, it was then offered as a retro fit kit, i rebuilt plenty of these and the 338xpt absolutly loved them, that will spark a response.
  11. They say a bad workman always blames his tools.
  12. The T540 has a fairly simple oil pump, but very reliable, it is more likly the nylon gear driven by the sprocket has stripped, remove the clutch and sprocket and check the condition of the gear.
  13. We orderd 1/2 pallet of Aspen, it was very dark, i assumed it was oil guard for the Husqvarna K750/760 oil guard machine, i am sure i spoke to the factory about this who confirmed it was, oh well it could have been yet another senior moment, we were definetly told that the silly plastic sleeve around the can ( which falls off ) was to be changed for a proper decal, i know this sounds quite petty, but health and safty were not happy that the can was not clearly marked as to its contents.
  14. We had a batch with with oil guard oil in it two years ago.

    Could you help?

No fan of Stihl, however it sounds like ignition to me, i would be changing the unit.
  16. Eddie why did they stop useing the oil guard colourant?
  17. Unfotunalty not, but you should not be paying more than the list price, this is why dealers get a discount
  18. Open an account with Rochfords or Radmore and Tucker
  19. Not quite that simple, yes you can buy the auto tune tool, however you need acsess to the support site to update it, there is also some computer software you need to down load, not too sure you will be given the support site details.
  20. Hi Eddy, i can send you any manuals you may require, you will not get acsess to the support site if you do not have a live account, sorry.
  21. Spud the well side plates are missing, worth fitting the inner one to protect the crankcase.
  22. Re the 357 mod, i use an insert 6mm on the out side 5mm in the centre, so you can still use the original screw, there are a few of these repair inserts in the Husqvarna workshop manuals, even one to repair the plastic threads.
  23. All the UK 560XP heated handle saws i have seen do have heated carbs, with a thermostant on the carb top,the heater element is sandwiched between the filter elbow and the carb face, so i just remove them.
  24. For the cost of it i would replace the white plug pt no. 506300401, especialy as you have used a screw to remove it, as was said you can fit the 372 valve, the only real difference is it has a green elbow on and a ruber tube up into the carb area where there is a nipple to push it onto, the 371 will not have this nipple so stay with the early type, as was said you should have just slackened the cap to see if that improved things before removing the valve, new valves will weep for a while until they get fully soaked and some saw dust around them, so dont be worried if you see a small weep.
  25. Some of the arguements are valid, however manufacturers are already useing different materials for fuel hoses, carb diaphrams etc, i think it a little unfair to imply that your saw is going to fall apart if you do not use Aspen, i have worked on thousands of machines that have been and still are running on pump fuel, i guess you have a vested intrest in this as you are selling it.
