  1. Yes they were supplied through a dealer in a green box, no green parts were available, it may well have had a new cylinder if it has a single ring, it also had a smaller main bearing on the flywheel size, the 480 fuel hose is moulded both sides of the tank, a swine to fit but no leaking, i am sure you cannot fit the 281 fuel hose in a 181 tank
  2. We always fitted the fuel hose from the 480 it fitted much better and didnt leak where it comes out of the tank.
  3. 181 was an odd saw, had twin steel piston rings, couldnt keep the muffler on for love nor money, throttle shut off when under cutting due to the huge movment in the av system, 281 was a far better saw and quite a bit different.
  4. One theory i guess.
  5. The 3120xp now uses the K1260 crank hence the sprocket bearing lubricated from inside the engine, the early 3120 never had it.
  6. The one way valve was added, but the orginal 268K Partner K650, and 650,550 chainsaws had nothing just a brass jet, never could really understand why it never effected the idle, as air leaks usually increase the idle speed
  7. I know the theory Eddy, but cant explain the Partner thing, if you try to pressure or vacume test them they leak like a seive, but it does not upset the running, i have fitted the same style crank from the 268K into a 266XP and no problems, with the added avantage it lubs the drum bearing from a small amount of the fresh charge in the crankcase.
  8. If as you say any air leak will cause a problem how do you explain the Partner saws with a jet in the clutch side crank journal from inside the crankcase to the out side to lubricate the clutch bearing? this was also used on some Husqvarna machines with no running issues.
  9. I would be a bit worried about all that saw dust carb side of the air filter, the bearings could be full of it.
  10. Rowena Motors 01248715552
  11. Its easy enough to grind the wall out ( dont make a hole in the plate ) you need to make sure you re seal the rubber gasket properly.
  12. Oh the fancy XP decal, it was never made available as a spare part so you will not find it, speak to me nicley and i will send you one, they are as rare as hens teeth, but i do have a small quantity.
  13. The software cannot alter the ignition limiter, the limiter is within the ignition unit itself, it is set at 14055 strange number but hat it is should be.
  14. For those who are intrested there is one high top 562 top cover in stock, pt no. 522959601 you will have to be quick!
  15. There is two part no.s for the 562XP top cover, 522959601 and in the 2014 list the no. is 587248701 both cover are the same, the 2014 cover just has a new decal on it giving starting instructions, this part is not available in the UK, however you can order pt no. 522959601 they may not have stock at the moment but at least you can order it.
  16. The 576XP is only available with generation 1 auto tune in the uk, cant plug it into the tool or change the software.
  17. The red and black does look nice, i here they have now knocked Jonsered on the head in the UK, great shame.
  18. Only ever saw a couple, complete nightmare to open the handle to repair anything, dont think there is any hope of seeing them in the UK, and not really viable to retro fit.
  19. I will check tommorow if the cover and filter are available in the UK for those who are intrested.
  20. Intrestingly enought this was also a marketing thing, dont laught but it was supposed to look more aggresive, i steam cleaned one once and it went straight back to the magnesium looked a proper mess, the 555 in orange looks so much better.
  21. The Mondo/Mondo max/ and Mondo Mega were all entry level machines from the Poulon factory, the fact that there are still machines about would suggest in the right application they were not that bad, no they were not great but hey you got to love the colour, the marketing dept did a survey to see what colour people liked best, must be a Swedish thing.
  22. Always willing to learn what is an onsert ?
  23. K650 now your talking, mark11 or an active?
  24. The material is. pretty hard and taps quite well
  25. Oh a Husqvarna Mondo, i have repaired many of these, use a heli coil tap and fit a 5mm heli coil insert, then all you need is a 5mm screw
