  4. Avoid second hand ride on mowers has they can be costly ie them stupid double side belts are not cheap and decks are normally rusted through ,Honda's and Countax are top end of market and not cheap . If you have to go down 2nd hand route go for a single blade 30" has they are easier to maintain and better access. I weighed 3 of my ride on mowers in for scrap to see the back of them and bought a compact tractor with a finishing mower Which I have not touched in 4years. Ste

  12. We have owned a dozen Bedfords over the past years on the farm ranging from S type 4 wheel drive to TKs and i took my HGV 1Test in a TM . The S Type was the first truck i drove has a 12 year old kid on the farm and what a experience , if any body knows this model then you know that your elbows would get battered from changing gear and the steering wheel was the size of a Ferris wheel . Must try and dig some old photos out . Ste

  14. I might be on my own here but when I get up in tree they just disappear to me ,anything like telephone wires and washing lines at close quarters I cant not see them . Telephone wires in trees I now spray with yellow road marker spray before I make any cuts . Ste
  15. Am not going to disclose my discount that I get for saws has that is highly classified information lol. I spend a small fortune in a particular dealer and no amount of ringing round will get cheaper . Ste
  16. I am a firm believer of supporting my local dealers who are fantastic, for Stihl saws I go to Duttons mower world and for climbing kit etc its Skyland . I am lucky that they are within 10mins drive either way ,am not interested in ringing around for the sake of a fiver cheaper than joe bloggs it customer service gets my vote . Ste
  17. On your gravestone it wont say TREE WARRIOR . Natural instincts are the best, good call. Ste
  18. That what i did ,after a year or two you can weed out the customers that give you grief and all my Tree work comes from my Garden Round . My Gardens are my bread and butter jobs still and I get the customers to leave tree work till end of grass cutting to fill the calendar up . Never fails . Ste
