  1. Good second hand saw are becoming like Rocking Horse Sh.t, with these m tronic thingy me bobs saws coming along people like myself aint parting with there trusting old saws that we can fix easily . Get yourself a new saw has most second hands saws have seen there day . Ste
  2. We have owned a dozen Bedfords over the past years on the farm ranging from S type 4 wheel drive to TKs and i took my HGV 1Test in a TM . The S Type was the first truck i drove has a 12 year old kid on the farm and what a experience , if any body knows this model then you know that your elbows would get battered from changing gear and the steering wheel was the size of a Ferris wheel . Must try and dig some old photos out . Ste
  3. Another tip I use with telephones is cable ties ,put half dozen on line so they stand out . Ste
  4. I might be on my own here but when I get up in tree they just disappear to me ,anything like telephone wires and washing lines at close quarters I cant not see them . Telephone wires in trees I now spray with yellow road marker spray before I make any cuts . Ste
  5. Am not going to disclose my discount that I get for saws has that is highly classified information lol. I spend a small fortune in a particular dealer and no amount of ringing round will get cheaper . Ste
  6. I am a firm believer of supporting my local dealers who are fantastic,for Stihl saws I go to Duttons mower world and for climbing kit etc its Skyland . I am lucky that they are within 10mins drive either way ,am not interested in ringing around for the sake of a fiver cheaper than joe bloggs it customer service gets my vote . Ste

  8. That what i did ,after a year or two you can weed out the customers that give you grief and all my Tree work comes from my Garden Round . My Gardens are my bread and butter jobs still and I get the customers to leave tree work till end of grass cutting to fill the calendar up . Never fails . Ste

  14. Online from Camskill tyres , they are Nexen tyres which I believe are fitted to some major car manufacturers from new . Look under winter van tyres and they are 8ply rating too . Ste
  15. Well i took the winter tyre route and choose the most aggressive tread pattern possible without comprising mpg and noise . At £48 each delivered and fitted them myself . [ATTACH]171451[/ATTACH] Time will tell . Ste

    Bad dreams

    Going by your statement of cutting down on the booze big time it Sounds like a short term problem until your body has got use to the idea of no alcohol,hang on in there and has above review your diet ....if I look at any dairy products or chocolate before bed I have horrendous nightmares too ..   24. Its nothing to do with being short at all ,I have now given up with Stihl clothing and boots has they are very poor ,all my brush cutter trousers,chainsaw trouser have split is exact place and there boots are crap plus the zips on the jackets are a joke . Ste
  25. Classic example of joe public ... I cut down a silver birch and 2weeks later the same customer rang me to buy logs of me . Enough said. Ste
