  1. This is quite an interesting read, like many older workers I was told that further innoculation was not required and no longer offered due to the risk of adverse reaction having received approximately 9 up until the age of 40, following a full round of innoculations and several other incidental ones after various injuries. This advice was given to me about 11 years ago by the practise nurse of my then surgery. It appears that further research may now be necessary in order to obtain current definitive advice. Thanks, Matt.
  2. As a LOLER competent person, if a wire core flipline is presented as a component of a persons PPE I would regard it as a failure of due diligence not to subject it to thorough examination. Of all the fliplines that I have seen the eyes are swaged not spliced; however the eye is formed if there was any concern that the termination was compromised I would strip the plastic cover and replace with heat shrunk tubing if the component subsequently passed inspection. Hope this helps, Matt.
  3. Thanks for the replies, will definitely further investigate the Hailos the level adjust looks to be really useful, always fun trying to get a ladder secure when footed on a camber.
  4. We're currently searching for replacement ladders for each team, at present we are using Zarges but find that any riveted components are coming adrift. After doing a quick search there seems to be some love for Hailo ladders but do these withstand day to day use for a reasonable lifespan or should we look elsewhere, thanks, Matt.
  5. Hello All, not exactly new to arb or this forum but decided not to lurk quite so much. Undertaking something of a change of role so maybe asking the more desk bound for advice, thanks Matt.
