2. My Kobelco sk007 at work ,they are ok but has said you cannot slew with that much weight , no problems picking up . Micro Diggers need to be treated with a bit of Caution or else they will spit you off !!!! Ste
3. Personally I think a lot of issues with the 880 Stem from not being used enough or laid up for long periods hence why I have used Stihl Motomix from new , no issues here and runs sweet . Ste
4. 880 for me , old school engine setup and fixable , I use mine once a month and run it on Stihl motomix . Not has heavy has I was expecting but I was use to a big old Dolmar plus I have absolutely no desire to go up a tree with anything bigger than my 461 . Ste
5. This Thread has shed some light on a rather risky job I have ran into , have been looking at these winches for the last 2 weeks so it has answered all my questions before I buy one . Ste
6. Secondhand Tirfor winches have now shot up in value on E bay through this Thread now lol. Has made very good reading and lots of sound advice. Ste
7. I still have 2 Pto driven Hayters in very good condition but I need new engines , I would go back to using them if I can source new engines , cracking design and bullet proof in the wet . Ste
8. Have they been ploughing with that mower lol, they are brittle but I have never broken one possibly due to me been the owner and careful, not a good choice mower for inexperienced Staff to use . Do you find that the threads on deck strip easily? Ste
9. Basically Yes , loads of different variations' with choice of engines/wheels/towbar etc but the Drum and intake /chute is all the Same . I was a bit wary at first but I cant knock it for my Domestic gardens and I have modified the axle so its 28" and will fit anywhere now . I use a wheelie bin to chip into then tip in bulk bags on trailer, 8 bulk bags is the most I have shoved through in one day without any issues but I have said before there is a knack to using them ! Ste Ste
10. Maybe but its still dragging it in and throwing it out with easy . Ste
11. Quick clip of mine eating conifers, has I said previous posts its 2 years old and been battered with no issues and still on same blade . Ste
12. Its only natural to feel that way, I get this every year has I only climb in the winter months so i sit at home going through my handful of knots i use and familiarise myself with my kit again ,after a couple of jobs i am back to normal . Ste
13. Quick release Anderson sockets so you can use at front or back or use winch on another Truck , also you can get jump leads with Anderson sockets too .It won't be cheap running Anderson type cable full length of truck though ,a lot of folk seem to think the Trailer socket is ample But far from it. 15. First job I do is rivet a ally guard at the bottom of the chain cover , second mod os drill a hole to allow oil can to lube chain, never had a plastic deck break but I have worn them out .I have always said the Hayters make a better cut with the angle of the blade and only use them has fine cut mowers. . Richard 1234 Hayter is Toro or vice versa Ste
16. Nice David Brown Crop master Ste
17. Because repetitive mowing with a 4 wheeler on moist soil will leave ruts eventually which ever way you cut . Ste

Ploggs .

+1 I quoted more or less the same in the New forum ideas , I agree it would keep Arb posts separate and lounge Topics will not knock down relevant Arb topics . Ste
19. Its a MTD GTS1300 and badged under many other names , not for highway towing, great little machine and I have battered mine now and 2 years old . I have put some clips on here recently. Ste
20. No problems has I pass through there . Ste
21. The Hayter 48 pro silver colour is a belting mower , it has a one piece roller rather then the 56 with the split roller so more reliable.I ran a dozen Hayters over the years and the 48 pro is very user friendly but does suit lawns cut weekly . Also Consider the Vikings with Rear Roller , very light and easy to repair plus parts are cheap too. Ste
22. Memory serves me correct that by Morrisons supermarket , there's a couple of New office blocks there , not up that way till Saturday. Ste
23. Many years back on Parents Pig farm we would have 60,000 litres of waste milk/whey delivered from Longridge dairy to our farm for pig feed ,this was Stored in huge ex railway tanks each holding 40,000 litres and in the Summer the milk goes off by the end of the week, needless to say the last bit in the tank had to be broken up with hose pipe so it would pump out to clean ........muggings here inside tank sweating my bollocks off wth fly's and maggots . Try doing that these days with H&S !!! I could ramble on forever of crappy jobs but that was part of Farming and literally keeping our heads afloat to keep farm running ! Ste
