Grass cutting season is not to bad has I have Maintenance gardens in the Estate by the School or next Village so only a Stones throw away But in the Winter I wont Start any big jobs on these Days and stay at Home chilling out pottering about .... Time with Kids is Precious has they are only borrowed to us has kids for a very Short Time so a few days helping out should not be a Chore but enjoyable. Ste

  4. Batteries are strange things , my F350 pickup has been playing up since the alternator went tits up ( new alternator fitted) she turns over like mad and shows 12.5 volts but coughs and splutters when starting like there is no choke kicking in and once warm is fine , just changed battery this morning and she is fine ,apparently she fried a cell when the regulator in the alternator went and the Capacity of battery is down . BATTERY not 12months. Am told that a battery that shows less than 12.8 when cold is on its way out . Ste

  6. Being a one man band I treat my mowers carefully and only use the Pro on big lawns ,I have always said its to Heavy . Also with the increase of Concrete imprinted driveways I am constantly lifting back Roller of the Ground has not to mark driveways, the New method of laying Imprinted concrete does not have the Colour in the Concrete itself due to contamination of next load so they Dust colour over needless to say there are some Driveways that Mark easily ,even the High heels of a woman with repetitive parking in same place leaves marks lol . It Should be better . Ste

Never take the Mrs full stop , they would soon add up the prices of saws etc and then your nuts would be skewed, fatal that is . Ste

  23. Hi Buford , I have all but tried them all and to be honest they all have pro, cons, pitfalls and horrendous reliability issues , has to picking up in the Wet Honda's are Fantastic and so are Viking mowers has well has Kazz etc but the Hondas are just to Heavy for wet mowing and make a complete balls of the grass at the headlands of a lawn . I have a picture somewhere on this forum of a dozen mowers I use regularly on Commercial and Domestic and to be Honest I choose the Vikings now has they are user friendly and cheap/easy to repair, the only pitfall of the Viking roller mower is the rear roller diameter is just to small for mossy lawns . Just remember lawns should be cut weekly in the growing season and folk buy these fancy mowers and expect miracles when cutting fortnightly, ie the Silver Hayter 48 pro I love and for me the best fine cut rotary mower out there used weekly, everyone slags these mowers off but forget the above mentioned. What ever you choose will NOT suit every job you do . Ste
