  1. Used mine on last camping trip ,Amazing how quick it boils, I can still smell burnt skin off my fingers! Ste
  2. This neck of the Woods has been constant rain then 2/3 Glorious Sunshine followed by rain since February, jobs are taking longer and only plus side is some customers want weekly grass cuts ( which it should be) but there is only so much mileage one can physically do . I am so looking forward to winter for good break but I have a feeling this ain't going to happen . Ste
  3. This year's growth has been phenomenal to say the least , I have never know a season like it and I grew up on a farm. . Gardens that always look pale for year's and burnt off in summer now look amazing. Anyone feeding a lawn this season must be puddled has I cannot cut grass quick enough at the moment. Anyone else in the grass cutting game thinking the same . Ste
  4. I bought a Kobelco sr20 seven years ago with 5200 hrs ,mint machine then and only replaced the glow plugs and still going strong now with no hint of smoke . Ste
  5. Finally found a 1390 similar to the one we owned many years back Ste
  6. Boiling hot water works a treat , but a bit extravagant. Ste
  7. Only thing wrong I can see are the folk taking picture . Ste
  8. Unfortunately the reality is that Someone else may try grinding his stump against your Mrs if you carry on neglecting the Mrs over work , sorry but speaking the truth has I myself am a workaholic like most and this is exactly what happened to me and the Ex Boom reality! Ste .
  9. Fantastic bit of kit it is and the same with the long reach hedge cutter...throw away them ladders !!! . The demand for them has totally outstripped Stihl and caught them with there Pants' down . Ste
  10. Bananas on Toast with a good sprinkling of Sugar . Ste
  11. That will make a nice " Keep sake" Ste
  12. My local dealer has a 4 week waiting list for the Cordless hedge cutters and they are sold too ,I went to pick one up for a fellow colleague so a long wait for him. Thankfully I started on these 2 years ago and up to now faultless. Ste
  13. A roads and M motorways Watson . Ste
  14. Greedy boards become illegal when things go tits up when something falls off the Load and insurance say in black and white " insecure load not covered " admittedly I use them on me trailer . Ste
  15. I find using Stihl Moto fuel that they flood too easy more so in warm weather ,took me 2 days drying my 880 out and still a bitch to get going then . Even after 8 hours standing time after use don't go near that choke lever or else it will refuse to start. You may still have Moto fuel left in . First time in my career I have flooded a saw that it needed drying out and I blame Moto mix ,admittedly it runs sweet but a pig to start if you miss that all important Cough...lol Ste
  16. That's the New Domestic range they have brought out including hedge/strimmer and blower, you get charger and battery has a package on each one . The batteries are not interchangeable with the commercial range . Ste
  17. There is a knack to using That wee chipper ,regulate the feed and green in first at this time of year , remember it relies on Velocity rather than wind . If it blocks up let it tick over and it will sort itself out . Ste
  18. I shall be ringing my Dealer asap this morning, I have battered mine with work so woyld be a bonus IF they are replacing them . Ste
  19. On a better note from my dead 880 I purchased The above the day before and I am well impressed after running 4 tanks of fuel through it today , much lighter than me old 260 and revs well , 16" Shiny Bar and no bogging down . Only bug bear is the heat from the muffler can make it uncomfortable on the hand sometimes when cutting close up others very Capable saw ! Big Thanks to the lads at Skyland too. Ste
  20. Possible road trip then ,I will get my local Stihl dealer to take a look and check it over first has I have a very good relationship with them but if its more serious then one will give you a call if that's ok . Ste
  21. Of all jobs todays job was took on for the 880, 2 big fallen pops to dice up and blow me she coughed and spluttered. Tried a new plug and she has been run on Stihl moto mix fuel from day one , bought new in December 2014 and done very little .Fuel is getting through and plenty of compression so hoping its a coil etc . Fuming is a understatement. Ste
  22. Get a Compact Tractor, the world is your Oyster then , you are limited with ride on mower for Rougher areas and probably pushing it to its limit on rougher grass meaning Belts getting hot etc .Small Compact tractor ie 20hp with a finishing mower which will tackle taller grass and much more reliable and better on fuel .I swear by my little Yanmar and finishing mower with very little issues in 6 years ,I ran r Small ride on mowers before and are a pain in the arse but saying that I have a Husky rider which is Phenomenal for tight jobs. Ste
  23. Them 3 minutes of your life you won't get back must be Stacking up now . Be Careful .😉 Ste
