  1. The telescopic are excellent as well as being so useful with the extension. I don't find them too heavy. Have you tried them?
  2. He's been through it a bit but he's still being John! He's liking his 500i a lot. He's got a new lady who I think has a cafe or something like that. I keep in touch with him.
  3. Here is my newest addition, a road worn squire telecaster...I love it, it's taking a bit of getting used to as I've only ever really put lots of time in with my Gibson SG and the neck on the tele is a lot fatter. It sounds nice too as it has a custom pickups in it.
  4. Ahh ok. I have the razor teeth on my grinder and just sharpen them myself. When I had green teeth I just chucked em in a pot and did them on wet days....saves paying someone. Dean at Global did get a load sharpened for me at once..
  5. Don't buy into, I hardly look at the news nowadays, it's all bollocks. I fill my time with my kids, music, hobbies, messing on with some 200t saws I have to try and get some good runners, that keeps me plenty busy and away from all the crack biting childish crap that is British politics, jabbed or unjabbed I don't mind as an arsehole is and arsehole[emoji23][emoji23]
  6. Just buy a diamond disc for your grinder and do them yourself.....https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1125685240/stump-grinder-teeth-disk-sharpener-115mm?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_uk_en_gb_a-craft_supplies_and_tools-other&utm_custom1=_k_EAIaIQobChMI6tq29sXr9QIVppBoCR3aIA5JEAQYASABEgJhzPD_BwE_k_&utm_content=go_325938528_20231667888_88477464288_pla-106551294035_m__1125685240engb_530220195&utm_custom2=325938528&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6tq29sXr9QIVppBoCR3aIA5JEAQYASABEgJhzPD_BwE
  7. Is that the river in Durham? I really liked it the day I went on there on a boat[emoji13] that's the day I bumped into you on the street mate.....how random was that! You are such a positive guy and I'm very happy for you mate.
  8. I have a 500i, I run a 28" bar and full chisel chain and it's brilliant. I run it on Stihl Moto Mix......it does drink it like a tramp drinks meths.....
  9. CS100 are great little machines, I have one for keeping my quoting pencil sharp[emoji23][emoji23]
  10. I got fed up of the chip direction chute coming loose so I modified it like a Forst.....it's brilliant, shame Timberwolf don't offer this...
  11. I was going to sell my tracked chipper, it's a fantastic machine, well looked after. It's a Timberwolf230 VTR, 35hp engine will chip to capacity all day long......I looked at what I could replace it with and nothing comes close to the performance of that...the petrol equivalents are just not as good and the diesel ones have the smaller engines now. I think that's is why there is a shortage of good second hand machines, people are keeping what they have because there is nothing worth replacing them with. Having said that I'm demoing a bigger chipper soon but it's got a dpf so not sure how good that will be....
  12. There is good money in stumps if you price them properly....
  13. Looking good Paul, I hope you are well mate!!
  14. I do wish I had kept my HB20, it was brilliant and got it into tight places.
  15. I'd look at the HB20 then, the SG 40 is around 16 plus vat which is a lot to have tied up in a machine only doing 50 hrs.. a year...I have heard the small FSI grinders are good also.
  16. I run a tree surgery business and offer the stumps as part of my services. I had an HB20 before this and it was a brilliant machine, unfortunately due to a injury I needed a machine that you operate not wrestle🤣🤣an HB20 would be good if you don't do loads of grinding or loads of big stumps.
  17. I have an SG 40, mine has the razor teeth cutting wheel and is a beast. Far better than green teeth, easy to sharpen and seem to stay sharp longer. The machine itself is great although there are a few things that are a bit of a let down......the fuel filler is a bit of a fiddle to use as it has a funny hole...one of cutter wheel bearings grease nipples is joke to get to....utter joke.....apart from that it's excellent.
  18. I struggle with bad hands and dont like anti vibe gloves and I've seen a few people using tape on the wrap around handle of saws and was wondering is it just bike handlebar tape or what??
  19. Hodge

    Big birch

Not unusual at all mate, TPO's are not species specific, I've seen some scabby old cypress covered by a TPO, they literally were the worst looking trees ever.....yet in another part of the garden their was a mature Douglas Fir that was not TPO'd yet it was the nicer tree by far...
  20. Have you got the model number and size please Mark as I'd like to get some for my nee transit tipper.....
  21. 19k plus vat, I had one. When running well it's a great machine, I did not like the engine. It was always hunting. I now have a SG40
  22. I have just got an SG40, I traded in my B37-110 for it......I'd only had it 11 months.very happy with the new machine.
  23. Here we go........retired climber, I should of expected this when joining a thread you have posted on......I'm trying to say that yea have a contract but at the end of the day it means nothing if they don't pay you.no doubt you will shoot me down again...you are like the man that shit himself.....he knows all about it. People like you are never wrong, clever as the days is long...nice one. I've only been back a day and you just rub me and countless others up the wrong way..adios...
  24. Yea it is. I am nearly putting another opinion in the mix. Speaking from experience.
