    Measles

This is all to familiar good luck with it, I think many would agree our industry seem to attract people slightly off centre (in public perception) I reckon everyone thinks everyone else is weird as we all start measuring from different perspectives

The answer is 42 for the record I’m left handed and poss on the edge of a spectrum 🤣
  3. This is a bit close to the matrix film becoming reality!

    Measles

Is that delivered? All processor grade cod wood?
  5. Looks a cracking bit of kit but I feel it’s lacking a dipper arm between the main arm and the cage. I find the dipper incredibly useful for getting over and down behind limbs etc.
  6. If you’re struggling remove the valve block leaving a rubber glove over the pipes and take it to your local hydraulic shop or agri shop “It’s leaking from here, can I have a new seal please?” Will be a couple of quid or not masses fitted. Our local place would sort that to collect the next morning. If you cant manage to remove it take the whole machine in will cost an extra little and they will remove change the seal d refit.
  7. It’s friyay 👍 anyway gota get on so be seeing ya later.
  8. If there cell grown get a proper planter your back will thank you
  9. Imported wood is not green, financially viable maybe
  10. If I run out of kindling I will split some or jump on a broken pallet same end result and no money spent!
  11. I just used marine ply and used Shultz on the underside and fence paint on the top. Cheap phenolic ply is crap and good is expensive. I would have brought decent stuff if I hadn’t of had the ply to hand anyway, I’m quite open to the fact it won’t last like the decent stuff but it was free 👍
  12. 100 a day with out busting a gut.

    HS2 Over

Quality of life doesn’t have to be all about the bottom line 👍
  14. That’s the badger! I remember as a kid being fascinated by it and couldn’t quite get my head round it till I watched it working
  15. My dad always said dying doesn’t scare me but getting old does. The last thing he wanted was to be sat in a chair pissing himself not able to owt about it - he got his wish going suddenly at 61. my opinion revolves around quality rather than quantity of life, once I don’t have quality of life I want putting down!
  16. That brings back memories, had many hours ploughing with a triple d, hell of a machine. I remember the local drainage contractors used to use tractors with no front axle with a swan neck driven trailer to move the stone when I was a kid in the fens both in the 80s
  17. It’s horses for courses. I know some young subbies (minimal life expenses and mummy still makes dinner box)this way that are bouncing off the walls at 120 a day others get almost 3x that. It all depends what you can bring to the party, that doesn’t have to include fancy kit, it can be the experience to deal with any job in a timely manner, or the ability to jump on any machine and work it well. Shit falls downwards and the cream rises to the top - make sure you are the cream and the rates will rise with the cream, if your shit the rates will reflect that.
  18. I’ve got a old woodland mills version of that processor, not quick but never caused any major bother it just plods along all day
  19. The gun powder would keep you warmer if you chucked it on the fire
  20. does it make sense to burn all your rubbish that will burn? It Cant produce more fumes than the rubbish truck coming out to collect it all and the energy used to sort and process the recyclable stuff can it? Either way it keeps you warm!

    Dentist

Bugger that! If they want to work on my teeth I have to be put out cold or someone’s getting hurt!
  22. Morning. Bit moist here to say the least, still onwards and upwards.
  23. Suitable caution is a tractor and flail! Bloody miserable things!
  24. That would lay no bother, run of the mill stuff, to big is when your laying 12” diameter and 30’ tall trees to recreate a hedge, still possible but hard work. If you lay it your self make sure you lay up hill, the head needs to be higher than the root (only slightly) Where abouts in the country are you? There may well be someone local to you on here that can help.
