    Jokes???

21&3 for me but it was a cortina with 2 brothers outside the pub do I get a extra point for being brought back from a farm sale sat in a old wardrobe in the back of said cortina with some plough spares? I also remember lifting the mats in the back and watching the road go by through the holes in the floor! Arr the good old days 🤣
  2. Re check it’s the right belt, there doesn’t look to be any slack for the tensioner to take up. If there is no slack they won’t last long!
  3. @trigger_andy had a logsol but don’t see him here much recently
  4. I’m nicking that saying! As much as we don’t care it does get boring and spoils the general atmosphere of the place
  5. When would you be looking to start? Is there anywhere to camp up with access to water reasonably locally
  6. I assume you have sorted a felling licence as with 2 cutters (again assuming there forestry cutters who crack on) you will hit the 5 cube threshold by tea break on day 1!
  7. You have mearly been deemed good enough to go a learn the job and how to do it! It will take a min of 2 years to be able to tackle any situation you come across as second nature. Now go climb and enjoy your learning!
  8. It was this article that made me lose any respect I had for the arb association
  9. What is a ballpark figure for a set of cs100 blades? (I’ve got the Italian Peruzzo copy on tracks but I believe it is identical to the cs100)
  10. Our forst experiences match micks. Great machine when it running well but the brake downs were regular. In fairness redwood did sort them but frustrated with the Agro it causes doesn’t come close
  11. As I understand it Pi insurance should only be needed if you are giving written report liken tree survey work etc. public liability will do along with employers liability if any one works with you (including a self employed subbie)
  12. Looks a very capable set up but looks to give the loader a fair bit of stick
  13. What ever works for you, as long as everyone on site knows the score.
  14. I guess that makes a lot of us and a growing number very right wing
  15. Don’t drop the soap!!
  16. Round up should stop the grass just fine
  17. Shirley they should be helped to get migrants out of the country! It shows are bad this country has become when the illegal immigrants are trying to leave!

    Jokes???

What’s the difference between a bison and a buffalo? You can’t wash your hands in a buffalo!
  20. I would give that a home, I like odd stuff!
  21. A simple tree gard will do all the protection you need. After that soil, sun and water will do the trick. I would replant it somewhere further away from the wall regardless of what the wall is.
  22. Have you a picture that shows the whole tree and the context it is in? I would of said from the bark it looks like ash so has a high chance of dying from adb anyway but any ash that are not infected are important as a future seed bank to breed resistant trees from for the future.
  23. 404 is fine but I would recommend buying a ripping chain, you will get a smother cut and use less fuel in my experience. Also how old are your bars? Chain wonder from uneven bar rails can cause issues when milling
  24. That doesn’t sound so good, at least the weather is getting better to go walkabout.
  25. If you’re cutting with the grain look at a ripping chain. But I wouldn’t worry about chain blunting, maybe a little quicker than green wood but not enough to stress bout. I would say @Rob D if probably your best man for this question seeing as he has probably forgotten more about chains than some of us know! .
